Coat”
Each Friday I tell you I´m glad we made
it through and today is no exception. The thing today is that we have long
weekend in Mexico so I´m axcited above normal levels here. Super Bowl weekend I
don´t care, haha (my hubby does), I´m just excited we have one more day to rest
and for now, we´re together.
Today´s post is about my camel coat.
Each time I post a picture of it, many of you ask where I bought it. It´s from
Zara. As you know, Zara is not that cheap this days but it´s still very
affordable. Much more expensive brands have a classic camel coat like ACNE,
JCREW, ALL Saints, and many more. I´m convinced that this camel coat is one of
the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe. I´ve used it with leather pants, dark
and light jeans, track pants, shorts, skirts and even PJs, (no kidding haha),
but even if it´s a versatile piece we always need to spend well our bucks.
For this post, I matched the camel coat
with my fave leather pants, a sweater that I found in the 70% sale rack a few
years ago and my latest obsession, the silver heels. I´m sure this is not the
first time you see the pieces I used today, but this is the first time they are
all mixed together. For those of us that are always looking for making fashion
affordable, versatility is always the key.
Buy versatile clothing, and don´t buy
too much clothes of the same trend. As you know, trends come and go, but there
are certain classic pieces worth investing in, and a camel coat is one of them.
If you want to have a look and see some
classic pieces, find an old fashion book. You will find a nice red dress, a
nice black dress, a camel coat, a nice hat, some nice shades, a gray cashmere sweater. Start investing good money on classic
pieces that will always be versatile, usable and show good taste in fashion.

“Un
clásico camello”
Esta semana se me pasó muuuuuuuy lento no se porque, haha. Pero ya es
viernes y el cuerpo lo sabe =). Además, que tenemos puente el lunes entonces es
como doble o triple felicidad de que el fin de semana está aquí.
Para el post de hoy decidí usar uno de mis abrigos favoritos. Ya ven que
hemos platicado de los abrigos estampados, y ahora está llegando la moda de los
abrigos en tonos pastel (rosa, amarillo, azul, verde), pero el abrigo camello
es un clásico de clásicos. Es una pieza que pudieran tener en el guardarropa
veinte años y si lo cuidan va a seguir viéndose bien. Siempre les recomiendo
que su ropa sea versátil, y este abrigo no es la excepción. Este abrigo lo he usado con jeans claros,
obscuros, con pantalones de piel, con pants grises, con falta, con shorts, y
hasta con pijama algún día que hizo demasiado frío en mi casa hahaha. Piensen
también que en cuanto a los zapatos lo pueden usar con botas, tacones, tenis,
flats y todas las opciones que tengan.
Para este post, decidi usar pantalones de piel negros, un sueter que
compré en una ganga en GAP hace años, tacones plateados y el abrigo.
Algunos me han preguntado si no tengo un abrigo negro; la respuesta es no.
Solamente tengo este y aunque me encanta el negro y segurametne se ve precioso,
creo que el color camello es un poco más versátil.
Otra cosa que siempre hay que tomar en cuenta es el precio. Mi esposo
siempre me dice que no hay cosa más cara que la que no usas (y tiene razón),
siempre hay tiendas donde podemos encontrar ropa barata y de buena calidad. Hay
que ser pacientes, hay que saber comprar y hay que saber combinar. De este
modo, le sacaremos el mejor provecho al dinero que usemos en ropa.
