Allier Atellier Farewell

Hello my loved ones... Today's post is absolutely different of what I normally post... but since what I'm about to write down is part of my life, and so are you, today, I'm letting you guys to know me better, with my flaws, my dreams and my failures too...

It all started two years ago, when my husband, partner in life, and in every business I have convinced me to follow my dreams and make my own label of fashion design. Just in case you didn't know, I went for a major in fashion and textile design at college. I presented my first collection at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Mexico a couple of years ago, and as I loved to make my own dresses for the events I had, I started working on some projects for other friends. First, I payed for a seamstress to do the work, then, after the seamstress spent most of her day at my shop, we decided that it was best if she would work for me directly. Being a designer, was always part of my dream... to dream and to create go always hand to hand, so after I got married and I designed the dress for my Civil Wedding, the Bridesmaids' dresses and my mom and sisters, I started receiving a lot of work and ALLIER ATELLIER was born. As all the new projects in life, the starts are pretty rough, but after several months of hard work, the shop already had three seamstresses working all day to deliver the best possible dresses for our clients. Then came ALLIER SWIMWEAR... as a response to all-the-girls-using-the-same-swimsuit for our holiday trip. 

So after two long and amazing years, where I got the chance to meet amazing girls, amazing brides-to-be, amazing college girls achieving their dreams, I now have decided that it is time for me to close the shop. It's not because I not love it, it's not because I have lost faith in my dreams, it's simply because the blogging thing is so time-demanding and I couldn't do both the way I want two. The whole fashion month, twice a year made it impossible for me to put the time necessary to deliver an amazing dress to every client, and as pamallier.com has been growing thanks to all of you, I felt a responsibility to focus myself in only one thing. Pamallier.com also started as a dream, a dream to be a recognized voice in the real-world fashion industry, and I'm willing to pursue that dream and work hard day and night to achieve it. It's all for you my loved ones, that fill my heart with courage and nice words when I'm having a bad time, it's your love and nice comments that make this journey worth it, and of course, I'm thrilled of what's coming in the future. My dreams are still my dreams, and I must tell you, this past two years have only reminded me that beautiful creations in forms of fashion, have always been part of my heart and dreams. Fashion, as I have always told you, is about having fun. It doesn't matter the brand, it doesn't matter the language, it doesn't matter the size... fashion starts with a smile and a willing heart to have fun in the meantime. 

As hard as it is, it's time for a new chapter... my full time job as editor of pamallier.com and designer planning for the re-launch of Allier Swimwear, and for all of you that are reading this today, I'm thankful with all my heart for believing all of you guys believing in me, and I'm thankful that God blessed me with an amazing husband that has always pushed me to believe in me, and to chase my dream.  

So, I'm not quitting on achieving my dreams, it's just that my dreams have had changes in the past months, and I believe that God puts our dreams in our mind to chase them...

Hola queridos!!! Pues hoy, me van a conocer un poco más... son parte de mi familia y hoy les voy a contar sobre lo que ha estado pasando en mi vida estos últimos días. 

Como algunos de ustedes ya saben,  hace un semana cerré un proyecto muy especial que era mi taller ALLIER ATELLIER... muchos me han estado preguntado en snapchat y en mi Instagram la razón, y hoy, después de algunas lágrimas, les quiero contar la razón. 

Empecé mi taller hace 2 años, justo después de que me casé y me salí de trabajar de una empresa textil enorme. Por si no sabía, yo estudié Diseño de Moda y Textil en la Ibero, y un año antes de terminar mi carrera, presenté en el Mercedes Benz Fashion Week de México mi primera colección; siempre lo supe, y siempre lo he sabido, quiero vivir de hacer lo que más me gusta en la vida: la moda. 

ALLIER ATELLIER  empezó justo cuando me casé y pude diseñar mi vestido para mi Boda Civil, el de todas las damas de mi boda, y el de mi madre y mi hermana. Gracias a Dios, le gente estaba contenta con los resultados, y fue así como decidí empezar el taller de vestidos a la medida; lo que empezó como tardes de la costurera en mi casa para que me hiciera mis vestidos, terminó siendo la base de el Taller. 

Como en todos los negocios, los principios siempre son complicados, pero gracias a Dios y a su preferencia, empezaron a llegar las clientas y tuvimos que crecer hasta tener tres costureras de planta. Luego, siguieron los trajes de baño, luego empezó a tomar fuerza la cuestión del blog, y cada vez más había más trabajo en todos los frentes. Continué así por un par de años, hasta que empecé a descuidar algunos aspectos importantes en mi vida, y me tuve que re plantear lo que quería hacer en mi vida y de mi vida. Siempre relacionado con la moda, claro, pero lo más importante fue que gracias a ustedes y a su preferencia, fue claro que debía continuar creciendo y trabajando en el blog. Con tantos eventos y viajes, me era imposible atender a todas las clientas como a mi me hubiera gustado me atendieran, así que decidí suspender por ahora el taller ALLIER y el diseño de vestidos. Fue una decisión difícil... hubo lágrimas, susto y sentimientos encontrados, pero debo y quiero agradecerles a Dios, a ustedes y a Pablo mi socio, fotógrafo y compañero de vida por su apoyo. Siempre presentes, siempre alentándome con lindas palabras y llenando mi corazón de alegría, hoy estoy feliz y contenta de empezar esta nueva etapa: editora de Pamallier.com como mi único y más importante trabajo (además de atender a mi marido, jaja... bueno, nos atendemos juntos y es una maravilla y bendición). Debo confesar, que nunca imaginé que el blog pudiera convertirse en mi trabajo de tiempo completo, pero hoy, es lo que me exige...

No les puedo decir que fué fácil... estas dos semanas pasadas estuvieron llenas de muchas emociones, estrés y dificultades, pero al final, siempre son estos momentos, y como, y de la mano de quien las pasemos lo que determinará nuestro futuro. 

Se que lo mejor está por venir, y como el mundo está cambiando, quizás nuestras sobrinas nunca entenderán lo que era para nosotras ir a una tienda por una revista impresa... a ellas les tocará el mundo de las direcciones digitales, y por eso es que dejé el taller, para apostar porque pamallier.com se vuelva una referencia de la moda en los medios digitales. Ustedes me han hecho soñar, me han animado, y hoy les digo que cada día lucharé por entregarles más y mejor contenido. 

Bueno, por hoy me despido, pero si por algo se preguntan la razón de que les cuento todo esto, les quiero decir lo siguiente: les abro mi corazón porque son parte de mi familia. Ocupan parte muy importante de mi vida y de mi tiempo, y antes de cerrar esta capítulo de mi vida les quiero decir: nunca dejen de luchar y perseguir sus sueños. Siempre habrá momentos difíciles y complicados en la vida, y es en esos momentos en donde se define la talla de nuestro corazón.

Mykonos... heaven of white backdrops

Happy Wednesday loves!! So I must confess I couldn't resist myself on posting more pictures of the Mykonos trip and this yellow outfit...

I guess you guys must have realized by now that backdrops for the pictures in this site are one of the most important things to have in mind... and Mykonos, just had the perfect landscapes, colors and alleys to play with. Everything is easier when you have beautiful places all around you.

As previous to my trip I had done some investigation on Mykonos colors, I must confess I looked for outfits that would be comfy, chic and of course, would look nice in the pictures, and when I saw this amazing Alexis blouse and skirt available at the amazing TFA Store I instantly fell in love with it. You know me, I love colors and colorful outfits, and yellow has always been one of my fave colors in life. It's happy, it's always smiling and it reminds me of the sun... cheesy I know, but that's me.

As a lot of walking was involved during our Mykonos trip, I went for these platform sandals. You must remember I had a really big and ugly blister from my last day of running in the Paris Fashion Week, so sandals where just perfect for the healing thing. They are tall, absolutely comfy, and they have been with me since I got married.

Well, sometime there's not much to say, as pictures often say more than a million words, so I hope you like these pictures and please, never hesitate to leave a comment... good or bad, I'm always thankful that you guys take time to be around.

Buen miércoles queridos!! Como siempre estoy feliz de estar aqui con ustedes.... Estos días han sido algo complicados para mi por algunos asuntos del trabajo, pero estar escribiéndoles y contándoles parte de mi vida es como una terapia para mi. No se si se los digo lo suficiente, pero estoy muy agradecida de su cariño y tiempo...

Hoy les voy a dejar algunas nuevas fotos del viaje a Mykonos. Tenemos más de 500, pero hacer una selección de 10 ó 15 siempre es un reto enorme. (ya saben que algunas mujeres no somos tan decididas, jaja). Este outfit fue sin duda uno de mis favoritos. Ya saben que me encanta el amarillo... y este conjunto de la marca Alexis que está disponible en la tienda TFA store combinó perfecto con los paisajes griegos, jaja. La combinación con lo blanco, el material perfecto para los días calurosos, y el largo de la blusa fueron los detalles que me encantaron de estas fotos. No es la primera vez que uso ropa de este diseñador, y la verdad es que siempre termino encantada. Con esto de que soy una romántica, ya saben que el encaje me encanta, y mucha de su línea incluye este material... entonces ya saben que si buscan algo de este estilo, seguramente algo ALEXIS les va a gustar.

Por cierto, respecto de los zapatos, para este viaje saqué unas sandalias con plataforma que no solamente son comodísimas para caminar, sino que además fueron perfectas para que mi ampolla de andar caminando/corriendo en París con zapatos nuevos sanara. Estas sandalias me han acompañado en varios de mis viajes y como son neutrales, las he usado en bodas, playa, ciudad.
