I've always admired Iris Apfel, as she was one of the first ladies that actually went out with denim... they say that a lot of women back in the day used denim in their homes, but going to the movies or on a date with denim was strictly "prohibited"...
Well, thanks to Iris and a lot of brands that make denim coveted I'm an absolute lover of denim, and for this day I went for a double denim look with some color... This pink (of course) cape, coat from a friend of mine called Alexia Ulibarri. She's mexican and she does a lot of amazing stuff, and when I saw this beautiful cape, I saw myself in a nutshell, haha.
Yes, denim over denim has been on shelves for quite some time, but how to make it fun and style it correctly is the science behind all this... This time I went for the unexpected... a pale-pink cape and my silver platforms. No belt as the jeans are high-waisted and some simple round shades for the win...
At the end, I always try to have fun when planning my outfits... trying to give the trends my personal stamp of style if you know what I mean... and so, what do you think about the double denim trend? yay or nay?
Happy week, Pam.

Buen martes queridos!!

I recently discovered an amazing mexican coat brand called I.H.R. and I've been trying some of their coats and I must tell I absolutely adore them. For this outfit, I built up the outfit from the coat... so I went for black as a base layer (turtleneck and skirt) and paired it with black OTK boots (all the black lovers out there lift your hands to the air, hehe).
The color of the coat is kind of deep, green with a lovely pattern; kind of royalty inspired, so you guessed it, I loved from the beginning. I went for matching aviators to keep the look in a two-tonal spirit, and I must confess I loved it. Simple, not many colors, and absolutely royalty, princess-like inspired (you know me, I'm a romantic). Ahhhh... I almost forgot, to add a little pop of color, I went for a pink lip color... you know, if fashion it's a game, let's play it the unexpected way.
Sending you love, and wishing you a lovely weekend, Pam.
Buen finde queridos.
