Acapulco Diaries at Hotel Boca Chica

Happy Tuesday loves!!! As you may have noticed, I love to travel a lot (I mean, who doesn´t, right?), so today´s post is all about an amazing hotel called Hotel Boca Chica in Acapulco Bay I just spend my weekend in. As Acapulco is just a three hour drive from Mexico City, I´ve been there like a thousand times, but this was the first time ever I went to the Boca Chica. Just for the record, the Hotel Boca Chica was a killer hotel back in the 50´s where Hollywood´s finest, and Mexico´s A-list spent their weekends at the bay. A few years back, theHabita Group bought the hotel and did an amazing job to keep it just like it was back in the 50´s.
You see, today we´re in the middle of an era where everyone wants and loves vintage. Vintage denim, vintage cameras, vintage decor, vintage everything… it´s been all try-to-be-vintage to a point I don´t longer know if I like vintage because they´re selling everything under that category even if it´s a 2001 piece of furniture. For me vintage is only real if it´s been for 50 or 60 years at least and when I arrived to this Hotel I immediately noticed that this was real 50´s. The colors, the decor, the flooring, the chairs and tables, the lightning, everything was absolutely amazing and beautifully restored and taken care of.
I loved the originality of the place from the first moment, and Boca Chica Hotelgot me from hello. The people that work there are absolutely amazing, and when we arrived to our sea-view-room and saw a beautiful black hammock in our terrace I loved Boca Chica even more, haha.
Food is something to die for at this place. You know me well, and if you don´t know me that much just hover through my Instagram feed or my snapchat and you´ll see that I love to eat. I eat a lot. I mean a lot with capital L as in LOT. Entrees, salads, fish, meat, sushi, soba and desserts where absolutely stunning. After eating a lot for the whole weekend I now understand why many people arrive to the Boca Chica in their boats just to grab a bite… it´s absolutely worth it.
Last but not least, the SPA area is amazing too…I mean with a killer view who doesn´t like to be cherished and loved with some massage?
Well, that would be my first trip diary that will be in the travel section of the new blog (yes, we´re working extra-hours). Even if we try to get some cool pictures of the place to show them to you it will never be enough, so give yourself a treat and go to Acapulco Bay soon.
About the outfit I think you can guess what I packed…a few kinis, some denim shorts and of course, some shades and a hat…that´s the only packing you need to do to Acapulco.

“UN FIN DE SEMANA EN BOCA CHICA”
Bonito Martes queridos!!! Hoy estamos de manteles largos porque me acabo de enterar que este viernes no se trabaja, jaja. Bueno, el trabajo es una bendición pero a quién no le gusta que le den una noticia así de vez en cuando? (y para los que no viven en México lo siento…espero su semana sea corta y productiva de todas formas).
Como podrán ver por las fotos de hoy, quiero compartir con ustedes un tipo diario del viaje que hice este fin al bello Puerto de Acapulco. Les cuento que me tocó ir a un hotel en el que nunca había estado que se llama el Hotel Boca Chica. Cerca de la playa de Caleta, se encuentra esta joya de los 50´s queGrupo Hábita rescató. Este hotel fue uno de los consentidos de las estrellas de Hollywood y los ricos y famosos de México por muchos años, y después de muchos años de abandono, Grupo Hábita lo rescató haciendo un trabajo increíble para conservar todo el hotel y su decoración como lo fue en su época de esplendor en los 50´s.
No sé si les pasa a ustedes pero está llegando el momento en que lo vintage ya no me convence tanto y les voy a decir porque: un mueble de 2001 mal cuidado y ya te lo quieren vender com vintage, un mueble nuevo pero pintado tipo viejo o desgastado de las orillas y te lo quieren vender caro porque es vintage, una chamarra de piel o un saco de la temporada pasada y dicen que es vintage!! Noooooo, jaja. Para mí lo vintage tiene que tener al menos 50 ó 60 años o de 100 y 200 si se puede, jaja. Debo reconocer que al instante que entré a este hotel me enamoré de él. Me habían dicho que todo era vintage y no sabía que esperar, pero para sorpresa mía, toda la decoración es restaurada, los cuadros son originales de la época, el radio y los refrigeradores sí son de los 50´s, el tono de las paredes, los pisos originales, los muebles todo está perfectamente restaurado y decorado. No hay esquina que no esté perfectamente cuidada, no hay letrero que no esté correctamente diseñado y no hay personal que no sonría y esto, mis queridos lectores, es una verdadera joya.
Además, me falta decirles algo…para los que me conocen bien saben que amo comer, y para los que no me conocen se los confieso… como como por dos o tres, jaja. Desayuno, botanas, comidas y cena están deliciosas. De desayuno el pan francés está de miedo, y los chilaquiles y las enchiladas están deliciosas también (espero la foto les de una mejor idea). Decía mi abuelo que para saber si un lugar tiene buena cocina pidas chilaquiles, y estos estaban espectaculares. Tronadores y con salsa con mucho sabor me los acabé en cuatro minutos, haha. Las bebidas todas impecables y sobretodo el servicio de primera. Todos sonrientes y serviciales, el personal del Hotel se portó divino con nosotros.
Los outfits de estos días fueron bastante sencillos: bikinis, sombrero, lentes, vestidos y sandalias es todo lo que empaqué. Por hoy me despido, y aunque siempre intento sacar buenas fotos para compartirlas con ustedes, nunca será lo mismo a que si ustedes van a quedarse un fin a este hotel…no dejen de hacerlo, se que los va a cautivar desde que lleguen.
