WARDROBE VERSATILITY
I do believe that fashion for those of us that cannot buy a whole wardrobe each season is all about maximizing the use of our wardrobe. That´s why this post is all about mixing pieces of other seasons and adapt them to the autumn weather.
Maybe you´ve seen other pictures of me with this shorts, maybe not, but the idea here is to show you how some summer-like shorts can be used in more colder weather. I know, maybe in cities like NY or London now they are just below freezing temperatures, but here in Mexico, the temperature has only dropped between 2 and 5 degrees. For that reason, with only some minor tweaks, some of our summer wardrobe is still usable, we just need some adaptations for the colder days.
For this post, I chose my favorite black suede boots. We´ve seen a lot of fuzz about the long Stuart Weitzman boots that our dearest Giselle is using. In my opinion they´re lovely, and I really hope Santa reads my blog haha, but for now, and for a tenth of the cost I´ll stick to my Nine West black boots. I mixed my long time favorite boots with a varsity-like jacket to give it a more cold season look, and used my summer white short with a gray all cotton t-shirt. I´ve noticed that when you have your feet warm, the rest of the body is safe, that´s the reason in Mexico we can still mix some of our summer and winter clothing.

WARDROBE VERSATILITY
Hoy les voy a escribir sobre un outfit que creo ad hoc para estos días de otoño que en México todavía tenemos con algo de calorcito. En lo personal, yo soy de esas niñas que no puedo cambiar todo mi guardaropa cada temporada (quisiera, haha), por lo que tengo que sacarle el máximo provecho a lo que tengo y compro. Por ejemplo, estos shorts blancos, son típicos de verano, pero combinados con la ropa adecuada, pueden adquirir un look completamente diferente y los podremos usar más meses del año. Se que México no es tan extremo como otras ciudades, pero de todos modos, podemos usar al máximo nuestra ropa y combinarla.
En este post, decidí combinar los shorts blancos con una chamarrita negra y y unas botas largas de gamuza. Estas botas me encantan, llevan muchas temporadas pero tienen el tacón ideal para caminar, son calientes y son el complemento perfecto para que unos shorts de verano puedan ser usados en estos meses de otoño. Se que nos quedan pocos días así, y pronto estaremos todo el tiempo con sweaters y chamarras más calientitas, pero mientras y para sacarle el máximo jugo a mi clóset, les recomiendo que no dejen de buscar alternativas para que la ropa que tengamos le saquemos el máximo provecho. Poder combinar lo nuevo con lo viejo, lo clásico con lo trendy y hacer combinaciónes inesperadas es lo que hace a la moda una disciplina emocionante.
