Algunas claves para que tu look triunfe en Instagram

¡Hola mis amores! Como muchos saben, una de mis redes sociales favoritas es Instagram, ya que puedo compartir con ustedes algunas claves para lograr nuevas combinaciones con algunas de mis prendas y accesorios favoritos. Entre tantos cambios dentro de estas plataformas, puede ser un poco complicado encontrar la imagen perfecta para resaltar. A continuación les comparto algunos tips que sin duda les servirán para que sus looks triunfe sobre el resto.

Hello my loves! As many of you already know, one of my favorite social media pages is Instagram because I can share with all of you my daily looks, new trends and some of my favorite pieces of clothes and accessories. Between all the digital changes these platforms face, it may be a bit difficult to find the perfect image to post. But don´t worry about that, up next I will share with you some tips that will definitely help you to achieve the perfect look.

1. Presta atención a los pequeños detalles

Desde el color de tu ‘lipstick’, hasta tus accesorios o un simple dobladillo realmente pueden marcar la diferencia en tu look final.

From your lipstick color to your accessories or a simple flip in your pants can really make a difference on your final look.

 2. Juega con las mezclas

Si hay algo que me encanta hacer es jugar con las texturas y los colores. En la moda no existe una forma correcta de vestirse, por lo que siempre elijo divertirme y definir mi propio estilo al optar por distintas prendas como una ‘bomber jacket’, con tacones rosas o lentes de sol de formas irregulares. ¡No tengan miedo al cambio!

2. Play with mix ups

If there is something that I really like to do is play a bit with textures and colors. In fashion there is no right way to dress up, that’s why I always choose to have fun and definy my own style by selecting different clothes like a bomber jacket with pink high heels or unique sunglasses. Don’t be afraid of the change!

 3. Abrígate con estilo

En esta temporada de frío no dejes que el clima te impida lucir algo sensacional. Yo soy una verdadera fan de las prendas maxi, por lo tanto, un abrigo de plumas de tu color preferido y unos zapatos que también logren destacar del resto.

During this cold season don’t let the low temperatures keep you from looking something sensational. I am a big fan of maxi clothes, so a big feather coat of your favorite color and a great pair of shoes will make you show off from the rest.

4. Elige un estilo deportivo y cool

Ya sea para viajes o para pasear en cualquier ciudad, la última tendencia de pantalones de vestir con una raya de color en las laterales sin duda logra dar un toque atlético pero elegante y moderno al mismo tiempo. Es la forma perfecta de equilibrar colores y añadir valor a tu look.

4. Choose a sporty and cool

Even if it’s for travelling or just enjoying a day off around the city, the last trend in pants of wearing a classy style but with lateral color lines will definitely give your outfit an athletic touch combined with elegance and modernism. It is the perfect way of achieving a color balance and giving value to your look.

Los increíbles detalles que tienen cada una de las piezas de Chanel Spring-Summer 2018 Alta Costura

¡Hola mis amores! Espectacular es la palabra que me viene a la mente al ver en vivo la colección Chanel Spring-Summer 2018 Alta Costura. Durante la Semana de la Moda en Nueva York, pude deleitarme con cada una de estas piezas que simplemente me dejaron con la boca abierta. Trajes de tweed en colores pastel, abrigos con plumas, vestidos resplandecientes y más, encarnan lo que solía ser la temporada de Haute Couture en París: un toque de primavera envuelto en una belleza diseñada para atraer clientes de la maison en la Rue Cambon.

Hi my loves! Spectacular is the word that comes to my mind when I see the Chanel Spring-Summer 2018 Haute Couture collection live. During the Fashion Week in New York I was able to delight myself with each of these pieces that simply left me with my mouth open. Tweed suits in pastel colors, coats with feathers, gleaming dresses and more, embody what used to be the haute couture season in Paris: a breath of spring wrapped in a beauty designed to attract customers from the maison on Rue Cambon.

Imposible no imaginarme a modelos como Kaia Gerber caminando con esas coronas florales y velos de tul y usando estos botines a juego. La nueva mujer de Chanel vive debajo de sutiles capas de tul de seda o gasa plisadas y enriquecidas con bordados botánicos compuestos de lentejuelas, además de cuentas y piedras.

Impossible not to imagine models like Kaia Gerber walking with those floral wreaths and tulle veils using matching boots in tweed, leather or tulle. The new woman of Chanel lives under subtle layers of pleated silk or tulle and enriched with botanical embroidery made of sequins and stones.

Otra de las características de esta colección son los colores suaves –que van desde el blanco, rosa, coral, limón y menta hasta el beige– y el contraste con tonos más intensos que incluyen negro, plata brillante, rosa, verde, fucsia y azul eléctrico.

Another feature of this collection are the soft colors - ranging from pink, coral, lemon and mint to beige - and the contrast with more intense tones that include black, shiny silver, ink, fuchsia green chlorophyll and electric blue.

También presente en su nueva propuesta, el icónico traje de tweed está compuesto por un saco en corte recto y tiene un par de bolsas, mismas que Karl Lagerfeld define como "la nueva actitud" rebosante de fuerza y carácter de la mujer Chanel. La falda del traje tiene toques de satén que contrastan con la suavidad del tweed.

Also present in his new proposal, the iconic tweed suit is composed of a straight-cut bag and has a pair of bags, which Karl Lagerfeld defines as "the new attitude" brimming with strength and character of the Chanel woman. The skirt of the suit reveal a satin touch that contrasts with the softness of the tweed.

According to Vogue magazine, making pieces like these takes almost a thousand hours of absolute dedication to the petites of Chanel who during this time use more than 100 thousand applications that include beads, stones, pearls and sequins. Some details are so small that it is difficult to see where they start and where they end.

#NYFW: Los lugares más cool para tomar café y té en Nueva York

¡Feliz inicio de semana mis amores! Sólo por ser lunes, el día amerita de un buen café o té para comenzar al 100%. En Nueva York, estas delicias son todo un ritual, literalmente. A pesar de que puedes encontrar un Starbucks casi en cada esquina, hay muchísimos lugares que la gente ama visitar por ser súper acogedores y cool. Les hice una lista con varios que son considerados como los favoritos por las personas que viven en esta ciudad y que también son los míos.

Hi my loves! Just for being Monday, the day deserves a good coffee or tea to start 100%. In New York, these delights are a ritual, literally. Although you can find a Starbucks almost on every corner, there are many places that people love to visit because they are super cozy and cool. I made them a list with several that are considered as favorites by the people who live in this city and who are also mine.

Cha Cha Matcha

Su nombre viene de la palabra "Ocha", que se traduce como "té" en japonés. Inspirados por la gente, la pasión y la calidez de Uji, Matthew y Conrad vinieron a Manhattan con un plan para abrir su propia tienda de matcha que fusionaba tanto su sensibilidad neoyorquina como la majestuosidad de las prácticas de té oriental. Armados las hojas de té directamente de Uji, comenzaron a desarrollar recetas extravagantes para mostrar el sabor del auténtico ceremonial matcha japonés. Y así nació este lugar que me fascina.

Its name comes from the word "Ocha", which translates as "tea" in Japanese. Inspired by the people, passion and warmth of Uji, Matthew and Conrad came to Manhattan with a plan to open their own matcha store that fused both their New York sensibilities and the majesty of oriental tea practices. Armed by tea leaves directly from Uji, they began to develop extravagant recipes to show the taste of authentic Japanese matcha. And this is how this place that fascinates me was born.

Dispersas por toda la ciudad, estas cafetería con varios tipos de café y espacio para sentarse y trabajar, tiene como filosofía crear un sentido de comunidad en medio del caos de la ciudad de Nueva York. Scattered throughout the city, these cafeteria with various types of coffee and space to sit and work, has the philosophy of creating a sense of community in the midst of the chaos of New York City. His "inclusion initiative" invites his clients to relate to each other. The cups have the caption "Hello, my name is___", printed on them.

Sant Ambroeus

Como ya les había platicado en mi post pasado en el que les dije cuáles son algunos de mis restaurantes favoritos en NYC, este lugar además de servir pastas espectaculares, también tiene muy buen café. Aquí las especialidades son las bebidas con expreso y los capuchinos. No te sorprendas si ves a Bella o Gigi Hadid comiendo algo mientras bebes tu espumosa bebida favorita.

As I had already told you in my last post in which I told you what are some of my favorite restaurants in NYC, this place besides serving spectacular pastas, also has very good coffee. Here the specialties are espresso drinks and cappuccinos. Don't be surprised if you see Bella or Gigi Hadid or Kendall Jenner eating something while you drink your favorite frothy fix.

La Colombe

Esta es posiblemente la mejor taza de café en Nueva York. La decoración de los cafés es limpia y minimalista, por lo que la prioridad es el café. Las bebidas aquí son complejas y sabrosas. This is possibly the best cup of coffee in New York. The decoration is clean and minimalist, so the priority is coffee. The drinks here are complex and tasty. Try the coffee with milk, it is incredibly sparkling and absolutely delicious. If you crave something sweet, the olive oil cake is delicious.

#NYFW: Algunos de mis restaurantes favoritos en Nueva York

¡Hola mis amores! La Semana de la Moda de Nueva York está aquí, y aunque las primeras filas y las calles son los mejores lugares para ver lo último en moda durante el día, existen momentos en los que lo único en lo que pienso es en comer deli entre desfiles o en cenar y relajarme después de un día lleno de emociones. Les enlisto mis restaurantes favoritos en NYC. Sin duda, cuando vengan a esta ciudad vale la pena que visiten cuando menos uno de ellos. ¡Van a disfrutar sus especialidades!

Hi my loves! New York Fashion Week is here, and although the first rows and the streets are the best places to see the latest in fashion during the day, there are times when the only thing I think about is eating deli between parades or to dine and relax after a day full of emotions. I list my favorite restaurants in NYC. Undoubtedly, when they come to this city it is worth visiting at least one of them. You will enjoy their specialties!

Sant Ambroeus

Este es el paraíso de la comida Italiana y una de mis visitas obligadas cada vez que estoy en esta ciudad. En esta vibrante y acogedora cafetería puedes comenzar el día con un capuchino y un cornetto o comer de lunch un panini o una pasta. ¡La que sirven aquí es de mis favoritas!

This is the paradise of Italian food and one of my must-sees every time I'm in this city. In this vibrant and cozy café you can start the day with a cappuccino and a cornetto or eat a panini or pasta lunch. The one they serve here is one of my favorites!

Sushi of Gari

Además de encontrar el mejor sushi de la zona, este lugar se me hace súper exclusivo ya que es muy chico y el servicio es excelente. Es perfecto para esos días en los que no tienes mucho tiempo para cenar. Podría decir que una de las especialidades aquí son el salmón y el atún en sushi o sashimi pero TODO me fascina.

Here you can find the best sushi in the area and a very exclusive place where the service is excellent. It's perfect for those days when you don’t have much time for dinner. I could say that one of the specialties here is salmon and tuna in sushi or sashimi but EVERYTHING is delicious.

Miznon

Miznon es un restaurante mediterráneo internacional, creado por el maestro de cocina Eyal Shani quien hizo un menú basado en ingredientes frescos y de inspiración estacional. Lo que me gusta mucho de este lugar es que toma el sabor de cada ciudad y lo traduce a pita (literalmente). Su restaurante de Nueva York está en Chelsea Market, una mezcla entre mercadito cool y food hall donde conviven tiendas, restaurantes y oficinas.

Miznon is an international Mediterranean restaurant, created by master chef Eyal Shani who made a menu based on fresh ingredients and seasonal inspiration. What I really like about this place is that it takes the flavor of each city and translates it into pita (literally). His New York restaurant is in Chelsea Market, a mix between cool market and food with shops, restaurants and offices.

Catch

El horario extendido y la posibilidad de tomar un drink y cenar deli al mismo tiempo, hicieron que este restaurante sea uno de los más populares en Nueva York. Se especializa en mariscos y está en un edificio emblemático en el corazón del Meatpacking District de Manhattan.

The extended hours and the possibility of having a drink and dinner, made this restaurant one of the most popular in New York. It specializes in seafood and is in an iconic building in the heart of the Meatpacking District of Manhattan.

Sarabeth’s

Si tienes ganas de algo dulce, los postres son la especialidad de este lugar. ¡Me encanta tomarme un chocolate caliente en Central Park después de caminar en el frío!

If you want something sweet, desserts are great in this place. I love to have a hot chocolate in Central Park after walking in the cold!

Balthazar

Esta romántica brasserie en Soho sirve delicias francesa tradicionales desde el desayuno hasta la cena todos los días, además de una de las mejores hamburguesas que he probado. Balthazar ofrece una amplia selección de mariscos pan y pasteles recién horneados.

This romantic brasserie in Soho serves traditional French delights from breakfast to dinner every day, plus one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. Balthazar offers a wide selection of seafood bread and freshly baked pastries.

#NYFW: Las flores como símbolo de feminidad en la pasarela de Tory Burch

¡Feliz sábado mis amores! Hoy les quiero contar que ayer fui a la pasarela en la que Tory Burch presentó su nueva colección Fall 2018 en Nueva York. La diseñadora –quien lanzó su marca homónima en 2004 y es considerada una de las mujeres más poderosas del mundo– vistió su pasarela con más de 14 mil claveles naturales en color rosa para crear la ilusión de estar en un campo de flores.

Happy Saturday my loves! Yesterday I went to see the new collection of Tory Burch showed in New York Fashion Week. The designer –who launched her namesake brand in 2004 and is considered one of the most powerful women in the world adorned the runway with thousands of pink carnations to create the illusion of being in a field of flowers.

En la que es la propuesta más primaveral vista hasta el momento, predominaron los estampados florales en vestidos de seda con volantes, kaftanes (mis favoritos) faldas de rayas combinadas con camisas de flores y chamarras que iban desde bikers y parkas hasta abrigos de pelo o con corte de cazadora vaquera. 

In what is the most spring proposal seen so far, floral prints predominated in silk dresses with ruffles, kaftans (my favorites) striped skirts combined with flower shirts and jackets ranging from bikers and parkas to fur coats or with denim jacket cut.

Una de las piezas más gustadas de la colección fueron estas bolsas mejor conocidas como bandoleras que lograron complementar a la perfección cada uno de los looks para un estilo despreocupado y un tanto hippie.

One of the most liked pieces of the collection were these bags better known as bandoliers that managed to perfectly complement each one of the looks for a carefree and hippie style.

#NYFW: La pasarela de Tom Ford inspirada en los 80'

¡Hola mis amores! Por fin es Fashion Week, una de mis épocas favoritas del año. Mi primera parada en las ya conocidas como capitales de la moda es Nueva York y simplemente amo estar en esta ciudad. Lo primero que hice al llegar (además de comer deli ja,ja) fue ir al desfile de Tom Ford, quien llegó a la Gran Manzana con una dosis muy necesaria de empoderamiento femenino en la pasarela.

Hi my loves! It's Fashion Week, one of my favorite times of the year. My first stop is New York and I simply love being in this city. The first thing I did when I arrived (beside eating delicious) was going to the Tom Ford's runway, who arrived in the Big Apple with a much-needed dose of female empowerment on the catwalk.

La colección Fall 2018 del diseñador estuvo compuesta de prendas, accesorios y elementos inspirados en los años ochenta, incluidos los colores de neón, el estampado de leopardo, las bandanas de piel y mucho más. The Fall 2018 collection was made up of garments, accessories and elements inspired by the eighties, including neon colors, leopard print, leather bandanas and much more. But what stood out most were the bright accessories that carried the words PUSSY POWER in capital letters and the use of crystals on black sequins on capital letters that spelled out Beverly Hills, the iconic Rodeo Drive boutique in Los Angeles.

Slightly more sober black mini dresses with silver stockings, shoes with glass heels, thick ribbons and large hoops reminded me of Andy Warhol's muse: Edie Sedgwick.

¡Bonito sábado mis amores! Por si no lo sabían, Zara es una de las tiendas que más me gustan porque cada vez que voy encuentro nuevas propuestas en diseño y accesorios. Estoy convencida de que aquí puedes encontrar cosas increíbles sin tener que gastar tanto. Además, siempre está buscando innovar y darle un giro a la industria de la moda. Happy Sunday, my loves! In case you didn't know, Zara is one of my favorite stores because every time I go I find cool clothes and accessories. I'm convinced that here you can find incredible things without having to spend too much. In addition, they're always looking forward and they're always innovating. If you see my photos on Instagram, I wear more clothes of that brand than you can imagine!

Esta semana, la firma española inauguró su primera tienda física en la que se podrán hacer y recibir pedidos online en Londres. El espacio originalmente está pensado para suplir la ausencia de su tienda normal mientras la remodelan pero este podría ser el comienzo de una nueva era si hablamos de ir de shopping. ¿Se imaginan un lugar en el que puedes ver y probar sólo algunas prendas pero NO comprar en ese momento?

This week, the brand opened its first store where you can make and receive orders online in London. The space was originally designed to replace the absence of a normal store while remodeling it but this could be the beginning of a new era if we talk about going shopping. Can you imagine a place where you can see and try only some clothes but NOT buy them at that time?

Usando tablets y celulares, los clientes tienen la opción de recibir el pedido sólo unas horas después o al día siguiente, dependiendo cuándo se hizo la compra. Lo más cool de este espacio es que tiene un sistema que sugiere combinaciones a través de espejos y pantallas en la talla real de cada usuario. ¡Me encantaría ir pronto!

Using tablets and phones, customers have the option of receiving the order only a few hours later or the next day, depending on when the purchase was made. The coolest thing about this space is that it has a system that suggests combinations through mirrors and screens in the real size of each user. I would love to go there soon!

La mini modelo que me robó el corazón en ‘Fashion Week Haute Couture’

¡Feliz viernes mis amores! Ya que terminó la Semana de Alta Costura en París, puedo decirles que sin duda la modelo que protagonizó esta edición es ella. 

Hi my loves! Happy Friday. Since the Haute Couture Week ended in Paris, I can tell you that without a doubt the model that starred in this edition is her. 

Ya es tradición que las modelos más reconocidas como Cindy Crawford hereden los títulosa a las nuevas generaciones. El caso más reciente es el de Kaia Gerber. Sin embargo, su debut en esta edición de la alta costura parisina de la mano de Chanel se ha visto eclipsada por una mini modelo.

It's already a tradition that the most recognized models like Cindy Crawford inherit the title to the new generations. The most recent case is Kaia Gerber. However, his debut in this edition of Fashion Week Haute Couture with Chanel has been eclipsed by a mini model.

Se llama Ioni James Conran, es hija de Coco Rocha, tiene dos años y más de 64 mil seguidores en Instagram. Lo más importante de todo: hizo su debut en la pasarela de Jean Paul Gaultier. 

Her name is Ioni James Conran, she is the daughter of Coco Rocha, has two years and more than 64 thousand followers on Instagram and has debuted on the runway with Jean Paul Gaultier.

Ambas fueron las encargadas de cerrar el desfile de Gaultier con vestidos a juego, en color azul. ¡Me fascinó ver en behind the scenes del desfile y lo divertidas que estaban! 

Both were responsible for closing the Gaultier parade with matching dresses, in blue. I was fascinated to see behind the scenes and how fun they were having!
