¡Hola, mis amores! Ya estamos a nada del Año Nuevo y por eso quise platicarles sobre algunos de los propósitos que tengo en mente para este 2019, para que así conozcan un poco más de mí y juntos compartamos la felicidad que me dará lograr cada uno de ellos.

Como ya les he platicado antes, una de mis mayores pasiones además de armar looks es diseñarlos. Este 2019 me gustaría mucho retomar este proyecto y dedicar tiempo para dibujar, escoger las telas y ver cómo mis diseños se convierten en realidad.

CREATE MY CLOTHING BRAND

Some time ago I put pause to this project but now I think I'm ready to take it up again. As you know, one of my biggest passions besides wearing clothes is creating them.

Goodbye 2018!

¡Hola mis amores! Terminar un año viejo y darle la bienvenida a uno nuevo, es una oportunidad perfecta para también dejar ir todo lo que nos estorba, nos incomoda, nos quita energía o que simplemente ya no nos hace bien. Es parte del proceso de sanar y ser mejor persona. Por eso, esta es una lista de cosas que debes dejar ir antes de que termine el año. ¡Todavía tienes tiempo!

 Hello my loves! The end of an old year and the new one is the perfect opportunity to let go everything that is dragging you back. This is an important step to heal and to become a better person. That is why I wrote you a list of things before the year ends. You are still on time!

 Ropa que nunca usas

Dicen que debes dejar ir la ropa vieja para dar espacio a ropa nueva. ¡Es el momento perfecto! Piensa que si algo no lo has usado en un año, es buen momento para sacarlo de tu clóset.

 Clothes you never use: You must let go old clothes to have space to welcome new ones. This is the perfect moment! Think about every garment you haven’t use in a year. It is a great time to take it out of your closet.

Relaciones

No hablo solamente de relaciones amorosas. Toda relación que estés viviendo en la que tú estés entregando todo y no recibas lo mismo a cambio, considera dejarla ir. Sean amigas, trabajo o pareja.

Relationships: I’m not only talking about couples. Every relation in which you give so much and don’t receive anything back, let it go. It could be a friend, at work or your partner.

Cosas acumuladas

Todos esos adornos en tu casa, ítems de “por si acaso” o cosas que tengas en tu cajón de la oficina que cero uses ya, deshazte de ellas. Te prometo que una vez que aprendas a dejar ir, dejarás de acumular en exceso.

Old stuff: All those decorations in your house, items you keep “just in case” or thing in your office drawer that you no longer use, get them out. I promise that once you learn to let go, you will stop accumulating things.

Apps y redes sociales

¿Cuándo fue la última vez que revistaste algunas de tus apps en el cel? Seguro hay alguna que bajaste y que realmente nunca usas. ¡Bórrala! Igual por ejemplo si no usas twitter comúnmente, ¿con cuántos de tus ex tweets ya ni te sientes identificado?
En el caso de Instagram, ¿a cuántas personas sigues que de verdad no quieres seguir? ¡Diles bye!

Apps and social media: When was the last time you use all the apps at your pone? There must be one you downloaded and you never use. For example, in twitter, there must be some tweets you posted before you are not related to know. In Instagram, how many people you really don’t want to follow? Just unfollow them!

Maquillaje y productos viejos

Revisa la fecha de caducidad de tus productos. Recuerda que es peligroso usar cosméticos o productos que estén vencidos.

Makeup and beauty products: Keep an eye of all your makeup and products and the expiration date. Remember it is dangerous to use products that are expired.

Pueden ser cosas pequeñas y que a lo mejor te cuesten mucho trabajo dejar ir, pero en el momento en que tomas la decisión y lo logras, ¡te sentirás más que libre y listo para comenzar el 2019 con el pie derecho!

They can be small things and maybe some of them will be hard to let go, but the first moment you make the decision, you will feel more than free and ready to star 2019 on the right foot!

Este año la bolsa inspirada en las sillas de montar regresó con muchísima fuerza. Podrías encontrarla en diferentes tamaños y prints, estilo vintage o en tonos lisos y brillantes. Lo más cool de esta bolsa es que es muy práctica para llevar a todos lados.

This bag is inspired in horse saddle. You can find them in different sizes, prints, vintage style or shinny flat colors. I bet you’ll love this type and you’ll use it everywhere.

PVC Bag

Este material se convirtió rápidamente en una trend de este año por su versatilidad. Podrías encontrarlas en varios tamaños, formas y colores, pero la clave es que tuviera efecto plástico.

This material quickly became a trend because of its versatility. You could find them in different sizes, shapes and colors, but the key is to have plastic effect.

¿Viste bolsas chiquitas de un lado para otro? No necesariamente son tipo clutch, más bien son tote o shopping bags pero en tamaño XXS. ¡Perfectas para salir de noche o para ir a un evento!

Have you seen very small bags everywhere? Not the clutch type, but the tote or shopping bag in very small size. Perfect to go out for drinks!

Belt Bag

Cuadradas, redondas y de diferentes estampados, la riñonera dominó nuestros outfits durante una buena temporada. Es pequeña, fácil de llevar y súper práctica.

Squared, rounded or in different prints, the belt bag was the hero of our outfits during the whole season. It is small and easy to carry around.

Retro Bag

Este tipo de bolsas estuvieron muy de moda en los años 90’s y este año volvieron pero en vez de ser 100% de tela, evolucionaron a otros materiales como piel.

These ones where 90’s trend and they came back this year, but they evolve to other materials such as leather.

Round Bag

Esta bolsa puede ser de mano o puede ser con correa a un hombro o crossover, de varios materiales y texturas. Si no tienes una ya, todavía estás a tiempo de conseguirla.

This may be with a shoulder strap or crossover, in different materials and textures. If you don’t have one already, you are still on time.

My weekend getaway to Mayakoba!

Hola, ¡mis amores! Hoy les escribo muy feliz para contarles que tuve la oportunidad de estar en Mayakoba, uno de mis lugares favoritos en la Riviera Maya. Ya saben que amo ir a la playa pero esta escapada en especial me encantó porque pude descansar, dejar todo atrás, olvidarme del tiempo, relajarme y comer deli.

Hi my loves! Today I want to tell you that I had the opportunity to be in Mayakoba, one of my favorite places in the Riviera Maya. You know I love going to the beach but this trip especially I loved it because I left everything behind, I forgot about time, I relaxed and I ate delicious food.

THE HOTEL

Nos hospedamos en el hotel Rosewood Mayakoba que literalmente es un retiro junto al mar que es un escondite increíble que es conocido por sus playas de aguas cristalinas y por su propuesta gastronómica. Me gusta mucho el concepto del lugar “Aquí me quedo” que literal hace honor a la frase por la sensación de libertad y sus espacios únicos como La Sala y La Terraza, tres albercas, La Cocina y La Palapa, enfrente del mar.

We stayed at the hotel Rosewood Mayakoba, a retreat by the sea and an incredible hideaway that is known for its beaches and its gastronomic. I really like the concept "Here I stay" which refers to the unique feeling of freedom and its amazing spaces such as La Sala and La Terraza, the three pools, La Cocina and La Palapa located in front of the ocean.

THE GASTRONOMY

Todas las mañanas desayunábamos después de ir al gym y nos preparábamos un bowl de frutos rojos en el restaurante del Rosewood Mayakoba.

Every morning we had breakfast after going to the gym and we ate strawberries, raspberries and other fruits to start the day.

Además, en Aquí Me Quedo, el chef Juan Pablo Loza dirige La Cantina con un menú que disfruté mucho porque tiene comida típica mexicana, inspirada en el caribe. ¡No saben la delicia de ceviche que comimos!

Chef Juan Pablo Loza is the main manager in La Cantina that offers a menu that I really enjoyed because it has typical Mexican food, inspired by the Caribbean.

MY FAVORITE SPOTS

Amé andar en bici en la tarde e ir al spa. Cada uno de los detalles del hotel fueron únicos –hasta personalizaron nuestras almohadas con nuestras iniciales– y cada cosa que hacíamos era toda una experiencia. Amaba caminar durante el día alrededor del cenote dentro de su propia isla y tomar agua de coco en la playa.

I loved riding a bike in the afternoon and going to the spa. Each of the details of the hotel were unique (they even personalized our pillows with our initials!!) and everything we did was an experience. I really enjoyed walking around the cenote on the island during the day and drinking coconut water on the beach.

Así empiezo a cumplir mis propósitos para el 2019 desde hoy

¡Feliz lunes! A pocos días de terminar el año, quiero confesar que siempre he sido de la idea de que los propósitos para el 2019, deben de planearse y empezar a cumplirse desde antes. ¿Por qué esperar hasta el 31 de diciembre cuando todavía le quedan algunos días al mes? ¡Empieza a trabajar en lo que quieres desde hoy!

Happy Monday! As the end of the year approaches I want to confess that I’ve always believed that our New ear's resolutions for 2019 must be planned and started before the new year actually begins. Why would you wait until December 31st when you still have a few days left? Start working today on what you want for next year!

Escoge actividades realistas

La lista debe de incluir cosas pendientes por hacer que se puedan cumplir fácilmente. A mí por ejemplo, me falta ordenar mi clóset –otra vez jajaja–, retomar mis morning runs al aire libre, estar más tiempo con mi familia y regalarme tiempo para mí. Empieza por las cosas que sean de urgencia o las prioritarias y verás grandes cambios en poco tiempo.

Choose realistic activities

The list must include pending things to be done that are possible to fulfill. For me, for example, I have to clean my closet again LOL, do my morning runs again, spend more time with my family and give myself time for myself. Start with the things that are a priority and you will see big changes in a short amount of time.

Incluye cosas divertidas

Es tiempo de ser felices y de disfrutar. No dejes de ir a ese restaurante que tienes ganas de conocer, de probar esas galletas o postre que se te antojó el otro día o hasta de darte una escapada en fin de semana.

Don’t forget the fun things!

It is time to be happy and to enjoy. Go to that new restaurant, try those cookies or dessert that you craved the other day or even give yourself a weekend getaway.

¡Viaja!

En mi opinión, viajar es uno de los mejores regalos y una de las mejores inversiones. Nada como la sensación de llegar a un lugar nuevo o de regresar a donde fuiste feliz.

Travel (a lot)!

In my opinion, traveling is one of the best gifts and one of the best investments. Nothing like the feeling of arriving at a new place or returning to where you felt very happy.

Sí a los nuevos hábitos

Casi todo el mundo incluye en su lista de propósitos de Año Nuevo, hacer ejercicio o dieta. ¡Lo mejor es empezar lo más pronto posible! Así verás cómo te vas sintiendo mejor y lo feliz que hacer actividades divertidas te puede hacer sentir. ¡Sé positivo!

Say yes to new habits

Almost everyone includes in their list of New Year's resolutions, exercise or diet. It is best to start as soon as possible! This way you’ll feel better and you can start noticing how happy you can feel by doing small things like running or eating well. Be positive!

Despídete de lo que no usas

Como les platicaba antes, siempre trato de sacar o regalar constantemente las prendas y accesorios que ya no uso porque además de mantener el orden, puedo ver exactamente qué tengo y armar nuevos looks agregando cosas simples.

Say goodbye to what you have not worn in years

I always try to take out or give away clothes and accessories that I no longer wear because I can see exactly what I have and put together new outfits adding simple things.

Transforma tu estilo desde hoy

Si no estas agusto con tu estilo o piensas que puedes usar más o menos color, atrévete desde hoy a llevar todas esas piezas que antes no iban contigo. Olvida las reglas. Si te gusta, ¡úsalo!

Refresh your style

If you aren’t comfortable with your style or think you can use more or less color, dare to buy all those things that you would not have bought before. Forget the rules. If you like it, wear it!

Sequins Everywhere!

¡Hola, mis amores! Ya estamos cerquita de Navidad y Fin de Año… ¡qué rápido pasó el tiempo! Para mí, diciembre es igual a brillo, fiesta, diversión, familia y amigos. Ya saben que amo las lentejuelas y por eso les escribí estas recomendaciones para usarlas sin sentirse que traen puesto demasiado. ¡Atrévanse! Es tiempo de brillar.

Hi my loves! It's almost Christmas and New Year’s Eve ... time flies! For me, December is full of glitter, parties, fun, family and friends. I love sequins and that's why I wrote you these recommendations for you to use without feeling that you're wearing too much. It’s time to shine!

Oldies But Goodies

Las lentejuelas están en todos lados: en las nuevas colecciones de las marcas de fast fashion, en las revistas de moda, en formato XL o XXS, en color negro o multicolor. No importa el acabado ni tampoco cuándo compraste ese saco con brillo, este tipo de aplicaciones nunca pasarán de moda. Por eso, les recomiendo sacar sus mejores piezas del clóset y llevarlas todo lo que resta del mes.

Sequins are everywhere: in the new collections of fast fashion brands, in fashion editorials, in XL or XXS size, in black or multicolored. No matter how they are or when you bought them, paillettes will always be fashionable. Take out your favorite pieces and wear them for the rest of the month!

Mix & Match

Si sienten que traen too much puesto, les recomiendo mezclar sus prendas de lentejuelas con alguna lisa o con textura que parezca opuesta. Una buena combinación es lentejuelas con polipiel o terciopelo para así nivelar cualquier outfit.

If you feel that you are wearing too much, I recommend mixing your sequins with some smooth or textured garments that seem opposite. Some good combinations are equins with leatherette or velvet. You will instantly level up your outfit.

Metallic Is The New Black

Muchos me han preguntado cuáles son los zapatos perfectos para combinar con lentejuelas y mi mantra es que todo depende de qué tan atrevidos son. Yo amo usarlas con botas metálicas para ir de fiesta o con botas negras largas, para un día casual.

When you ask me what are the perfect shoes to wear with sequins my mantra is that it all depends on how bold you are. I love to wear them with metallic boots for parties or with long black boots, for a casual day.

Leggings, Tom Ford. Vestido, 16ARLINGTON. Falda, Alice + Olivia. Vestido, Saint Laurent.

Sequins Day & Night

El invierno es la temporada perfecta para usar este tipo de aplicaciones, sin importar el día ni la hora. No tengan miedo de usar un suéter con lentejuelas de colores siendo de día. El negro minimiza el margen de error, pero no significa que sea el único color válido. Lo más cool de esto es que ya no tienen que ir a cambiarse en la noche para ir a cenar jaja.

Winter is the perfect season to use this type of applications, regardless of the day or the time. Do not be afraid to wear a sweater with colored sequins by day. Black minimizes the margin of error but does not mean that it is the only valid color. The coolest thing about this is that you no longer have to go to your house at night to go to a dinner or party haha.

¿Cómo usar tus prendas favoritas más de una vez?

¡Feliz lunes, mis amores! Estoy feliz de escribirles una vez más sobre uno de mis temas favoritos: ¡la moda! Casi siempre me preguntan si todos mis outfits que publico en Instagram son nuevos y tengo que confesarles que aunque siempre trato de innovar y sacar cosas nuevas, sí he vuelto a usar más de una vez esos vestidos, prendas a accesorios que entran en mi lista de favoritos. Porque sé que ustedes también tienen los suyos, les escribí esta guía con algunos tips para que puedan usar sus vestidos de fiesta más de una vez, siempre dándole un twist o un cambio a cada uno de ellos como este vestido rojo que amo.

Happy Monday, my loves! I’m happy to be writing to you one more time about one of my favorite subjects: fashion! Everyone is always asking me if all of the outfits that I post on Instagram are brand new and although I’m always trying to post new things, I’m positive about re-wearing many times those dresses, clothes and accessories that are on my list of favorites. ‘Cause I know that you also have your favorites, I wrote this guide with some tips so you can use your party dresses more than once.

#1 Versatilidad

Como compradora profesional (jajaja) les puedo decir que una vez que encuentras el vestido de fiesta perfecto, no hay otro igual. Estoy casi segura de que todo el mundo se ha enamorado de uno tanto que te dan ganas de usarlo en todas las fiestas: bodas, cenas, comidas en jardín o hasta una tarde en la playa, por ejemplo. Entonces, para que puedas recurrir a él muchas veces, lo importante es preguntarte si además de encantarte, se adapta a tu vida cotidiana. Si la respuesta es “sí”, ¡cómpralo ASAP! Este vestido lo he usado de verdad muchísimas veces y como este, tengo varios looks que he repetido.

# 1 Versatility

A pro shopping tip: Once you find the perfect party dress, invest and never look back. To wear the same dress many times, the important thing is to ask yourself if you really like it and if it fits with your lifestyle. I have weared this dress many times and like this one, I have many looks that I’ve repeated for different occasions.

#2 Agrégale nuevos elementos

Estoy convencida de que la moda se basa en amar la ropa y que el estilo es la capacidad que tenemos de sentirnos bien con lo que usamos. Nada le gana a un vestido clásico que te de confianza, siempre y cuando esté “rediseñado” para verse fresco. Mi mejor consejo es sumar accesorios como un cinturón o cambiar de zapatos y bolsa. Esta falda la he usado también muchas veces igual que el vestido rosa que se ve en las fotos de abajo y lo que siempre hago para que se vea diferente, es cambiar de lentes, de zapatos y hasta usar accesorios en el pelo.

# 2 Wear it with new accessories and shoes

Fashion is about loving clothes, and style is the ability to be effortlessly comfortable in your own way. Nothing beats a trusted old dress, restyled with new accessories to make it look fresh. My best advice is to add accessories like a belt or change your shoes. This skirt I have also used many times like the pink dress that you see in the photos below and what I always do to make then look different, is to change my sunglasses or even wear hair accessories.

#3 Cambia tu beauty look

El secreto está en divertirse con el vestido. Siempre que quiero usar uno por segunda o tercera vez, trato de peinarme diferente y cambiar el maquillaje que uso. Esos pequeños detalles hace grandes diferencias a la hora de transformar tu look.

Have fun with your dress! Try it with a different hairstyle and change the makeup, because it’s these little things that will actually transform your look.

¡Hola, mis amores! Estoy feliz porque nuestra fiesta de cumpleaños estuvo irreal. Hoy les quiero platicar un poquito más sobre todo lo que pasó ese día, sobre el outfit que escogí y algunos de mis momentos favoritos. Paola, Syl y yo escogimos el Cinco Rodavento en Valle de Bravo que es un hotel boutique contemporáneo de 28 habitaciones que amamos. Nos encanta la vibra y cada uno de sus espacios que invitan a la conversación e inspiran conexiones. Su restaurante es famoso por tener especialidades creadas por Diego Isunza y Ale Ortega, además de una tienda increíble con ropa y accesorios del reconocido diseñador Anuar Layón creador de ‘México is the shit’. Uno de mis espacios favoritos es el bar que tiene una vista espectacular al al lago y al pueblo de Valle, conocido por ser expertos en mixología y en preparar drinks únicos.

ABOUT THE PLACE

Paola, Syl and I chose Cinco Rodavento, a contemporary boutique hotel with 28 rooms. We really loved the vibe of this place, the service and each one of its special corners. The hotel has a restaurant with specialties created by Diego Isunza and Ale Ortega, as well as an incredible store with clothes and accessories by renowned designer Anuar Layón, creator of Mexico is the shit. One of my favorite spaces is the bar that has a spectacular view of the lake and the town of Valle, known for being experts in mixology.

Llegamos a Valle desde el jueves en la noche para preparar todo porque de último momento nos salieron cositas que no esperábamos. El viernes desayunamos deli, fuimos al spa y nos preparamos para una cena que hicimos antes de nuestra fiesta.

We arrived in Valle de Bravo on Thursday night and on Friday we had breakfast, we went to the spa and prepared for a dinner party that we hosted before our actual party.

Me encantó que ahí nos dieron nuestro primer pastel de cumpleaños y ver cómo llegaba mi familia y amigos. ¡Estuvo increíble!

There is no better feeling than seeing how the people you love travels to a special place just to be with you on that special day. It was amazing!

¡LLEGÓ EL DÍA!

¡Por fin era sábado! Esperamos y planeamos tanto ese momento que estuvo increíble ver cómo todo se iba convirtiendo en realidad. Lo primero que hicimos en la mañana fue tener una clase con Sersana, que es un método integral único de ejercicio y alimentación que trabaja principalmente la parte física, pero también la emocional, logrando cambios positivos. ¡No saben qué cool estuvo! Amé que nuestros invitados hicieran ejercicio con nosotras. Después de eso desayunamos, convivimos un rato y nos arreglamos para la fiesta.

THE BIG DAY!

We waited so long for this moment to come that it was like a dream to see how everything became true. The first thing we did in the morning was going to a Sersana class, which is a unique integral method of exercise and nutrition that mainly works the physical part, but also the emotional part, achieving positive changes. It was really cool! After that, we had breakfast, and got ready for the party.

It was finally getting dark! Once we did our hair & makeup we went up to the bar that was the perfect place for our party!

¡Me fascinó cada detalle que puso Tutto Dolce! Nunca voy a olvidar cuando ví esa mesa de dulces por primera vez, me impresionó y todo estaba delicioso.

I really loved every detail that Tutto Dolce put on the candy bar. I will never forget when I saw it for the first time, everything was so delicious.

Las flores de Ikebana le dieron un toque único y muy femenino a nuestra fiesta. ¡Mis favoritas!

Otro momento que amé fue brindar con mi familia y amigos con Veuve Clicquot.

Another moment that I loved was the toast with my family and friends with Veuve Clicquot.

También disfruté bailar toda la noche, las hieleras con cerveza Stella Artois y me gustó muchísimo la barra de José Cuervo Tradicional.

I also enjoyed dancing all night, the coolers with beer Stella Artois and I really liked José Cuervo Tradicional's bar.

Muchos me han preguntado detalles sobre el outfit que usé ese día y la verdad es que sí busqué mucho mi vestido y lo encontré en Revolve. Las botas con las que lo complementé son de la Gran Vía.
