¡Hola, mis amores! Es lo máximo estar en un lugar como el Valle de Guadalupe, que tiene vistas o paisajes impresionantes, además del clima perfecto para un tour de vinos. Para disfrutar al máximo de la experiencia, las veces que he tenido la oportunidad de ir, me aseguro de llevar súper planeados mis outfits para literalmente sacarlos de la maleta, usarlos y no preocuparme por nada más. Te preparé esta guía con opciones por si decides consentirte con una escapada a alguna ruta del vino –hay varias imperdibles en nuestro país–. ¡Espero que te sirva de inspiración!

Hi my loves! I love places like Valle de Guadalupe in Ensenada, with breathtaking landscapes plus the perfect weather for a wine tour. To fully enjoy the experience, the times that I’ve had the opportunity to go, I make sure that I have my outfits super planned to literally take them out of the suitcase, use them and not worry about anything else. I prepared this guide for you with options in case you decide to indulge yourself with a trip to a wine route –there are many must-sees in our country–. I hope you find them useful!

Outfit ideas

Usa zapatos cómodos: Si planeas visitar una o varias vinícolas en un día, te recomiendo usar zapatos cómodos. De preferencia botines bajos, botas con poquito tacón o hasta sneakers. Ten en cuenta que puedes caminar sobre hierba, tierra, grava o adoquines. ¡Yo evitaría las chanclitas!

Wear comfortable shoes: If you plan to visit one or more wineries in a day, I recommend wearing comfortable shoes like low ankle boots, boots with a little heel or even sneakers. Note that you can walk on grass, dirt, gravel or cobblestones. Avoid flip flops!

Apuesta por una bolsa cruzada o de mano: Cuando estés conociendo estos increíbles lugares, seguramente necesitarás tener las manos libres para probar vino, quesos o hasta chocolate. Por eso es mejor llevar con los indispensable y renunciar a las bolsas grandes o totes.

Bet on a cross or hand bag: When you are visiting these incredible places, you will surely need to have your hands free to taste wine, cheese or even chocolate. That is why it is better to carry the essentials and forget large bags or totes.

Incluye una chamarra ligera o prendas de manga larga: Si sientes que tu outfit se ve simple, agrega una capa extra. Depende de la temporada en la que vayas, puedas usar una blusa de manga larga, una chamarrita de mezclilla o hasta un cardigán largo o abrigo en invierno. Asegúrate de que lo que escojas no sea demasiado voluminoso para que puedas moverte fácilmente.

Include a light jacket or long-sleeved garments: If you feel like your outfit looks simple, add an extra layer. It depends on the season in which you go, you can wear a long-sleeved blouse, a denim jacket, or even a long cardigan or coat during the winter. Make sure what you choose is not too big so you can move around easily.

Sí a los accesorios para el pelo: Soy fan de usar sombreros, diademas o bandas para el pelo en este tipo de lugares. Siento que te ayudan a mantener la melena en orden y además de dan un plus a cualquier look.

Say yes to hair accessories: I love wearing hats, headbands or hair bands in these kinds of places. I feel that they help you keep your hair in order and also give a plus to any look.

Elige un ‘beauty look’ sencillo: Te recomiendo recogerte el pelo para que así no tengas que preocuparte del frizz. Si vas a usar lipstick de color, trata de que sea de larga duración y mate para evitar estar retocándolo.

Choose a simple beauty look: I recommend putting your hair up so you don’t have to worry about frizz. If you are going to use colored lipstick, try to make it long-lasting and matte to avoid touching it up.

Sí a los estampados: Ya sabes que soy fan de cambiar lo monocromático por los estampados. Flores, rayas, cuadros o hasta tartanes, son ideales para este tipo de lugares.

Say yes to prints: You know that I am a fan of changing monochrome for prints. Flowers, stripes, squares or even tartans are ideal for this type of place.

No le tengas miedo al blanco: Este color –igual que el negro– nunca falla. La diferencia de usarlo es que te ayuda a mantenerte fresca todo el día. Puedes transformar un vestido blanco de día en uno de noche, agregando un par de accesorios como un cinturón o una bolsa en color negro.

Bruma

Este es uno de los complejos más cool de la zona y ha apostado por incluir un área de hospedaje llamada Casa 8, además del restaurante Fauna una zona de villas y su vinícola. Me hospedé en Casa 8, que tiene ocho habitaciones o suites unidas por la casa principal y un área común que tiene cocina, sala y alberca, así como un outdoors living room y vista directa al viñedo. ¡Me fascinó!

This is one of the coolest complexes in the area and has a lodging area called Casa 8, in addition to the Fauna restaurant, an area of villas and its winery. I stayed in Casa 8, which has eight rooms or suites joined by the main house and a common area that has a kitchen, living room and pool, as well as an outdoor living room and a direct view of the vineyard. I love it!

Fauna

Rodeado de increíbles paisajes del valle y arquitectura minimalista, el chef David Castro Hussong es el responsable de la experiencia gastronómica a través de platillos hechos con los mejores ingredientes de la zona, desde vegetales hasta productos del mar y de la tierra. Está adentro de Bruma.

Surrounded by incredible valley landscapes and minimalist architecture, chef David Castro Hussong is responsible for the gastronomic experience through dishes made with the best ingredients in the area, from vegetables to seafood and land products. It's inside Bruma.

Wine Garden

Es un pop up al aire libre adentro de Bruma en donde se puede disfrutar de comida deliciosa, bajo una enramada de olivos, ambientación de picnic, servicio de brunch, drinks y vinos de Bruma.

It is an open-air pop up inside Bruma where you can enjoy delicious food, under a bower of olive trees, a picnic setting, brunch service, drinks and Bruma wines.

Deckmans

Está en el rancho El Mogor y es –literalmente– una cocina de campo en la que se puede disfrutar de los atardeceres mágicos del Valle. Los platillos estrella son los ostiones, el abulón y el chorizo de la casa.

It’s inside the El Mogor ranch and is a country kitchen where you can enjoy the magical sunsets of this Valley. The star dishes are the oysters, the abalone and the chorizo.

Animalón

Este restaurante del chef Javier Plascencia es toda una experiencia porque está debajo de un encino de más de 200 años. El menú de degustación cambia según la temporada y los ingredientes.

This restaurant by chef Javier Plascencia is a whole experience since it is placed below a 200 year old oak tree. The tasting menu changes according to the season.

Monte Xanic

Lo que más me gusta de esta bodega es el respeto a la tradición vinícola y el uso de tecnología de punta. El recorrido empieza en la sala de recepción con barra de degustación para empezar la experiencia a través del proceso de elaboración. En la sala de fermentación se ve cómo se recibe la uva en tiempo de cosecha, se macera y se fermenta en depósitos de acero inoxidable. En la enoteca está la colección privada de la vinícola, que está guardada en una cava subterránea en barricas de roble francés.

What I like most about this winery is the respect for wine tradition and the use of cutting-edge technology. The tour begins in the reception room with a tasting bar to start the experience through the elaboration process. In the fermentation room you can see how the grapes are received after its harvest, macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Inside the wine cellar you can find the story of different harvests and the private wine collection, which is stored in an underground cellar in French oak barrels.

Decantos

Como su nombre lo dice, es una vinícola que trabaja por decantación o gravedad para eliminar por completo los bombeos mecánicos y utilizar únicamente la ley natural de la gravedad desde la recepción de la uva hasta su embotellado final. Para lograr su objetivo, la vinícola tiene diferentes desniveles, 360 barricas colocadas a una altura de metro y medio del piso además de 10 depósitos de acero inoxidable, 7 depósitos de hormigón y 2 lagos donde se elabora el vino tradicional de maceración carbónica, con una capacidad total de elaboración de 120,000 litros de vino.

As its name implies, it is a winery that works by decantation or gravity to completely eliminate mechanical pumping and use only the natural law of gravity from the reception of the grape to its final bottling. To achieve its objective, the winery has different slopes, 360 barrels placed at a height of one and a half meters from the floor in addition to 10 stainless steel tanks, 7 concrete tanks and 2 lakes where the traditional carbonic maceration wine is made, with a total production capacity of 120,000 liters of wine.

¡Hola mis amores! Ya estamos a nada de usar las tendencias de otoño y una de las que ha regresado en estos últimos años, es el estilo grunge. Por eso, hoy me gustaría que repasemos juntos algunas de las piezas clave de este año para formar looks con esta vibra.

Piezas a cuadros: Una de las tendencias es utilizar el típico estampado a cuadro, pero haciendo un mix and match de prendas. Puedes combinar colores en diferentes piezas y lograr la mezcla perfecta.

Squared pieces: One of the trends that is used in this style is the square pattern, you can mix and match your outfit. You can combine different colors and pieces to achieve the perfect mix.

Cinturones: No existe un outfit grunge sin un cinturón característico de esta tendencia. Incluso si estás usando look simple, un cinturón puede hacer toda la diferencia. Busca un cinturón de piel ancho con algunas aplicaciones metálicas.

Belts: There is no grunge outfit without the belt. Even if you are wearing a simple suit, this belt can make all the difference. Look for a wide leather belt with metallic accessories.

Slip dress: Este vestido muy de los 90’s le da un giro a tu outfit si lo cambias de texturas y estampados, por ejemplo, puedes llevarlo tipo terciopelo con estampado clásico de cuadros.

¡Hola, mis amores! Algunas de las piezas clave de nuestro armario en otoño son las botas y los botines. La verdad es que desde ahorita ya estoy usándolas y por eso te hice este recap con algunas tendencias que amo. ¡Espero que te sirva! Estas son las botas must para la temporada, que hemos visto en algunas pasarelas y que van a la perfección a lo que estamos viviendo.

Definitivamente este tipo de botas encabezan mi lista de favoritas. Son hermosas, sofisticadas y con el pequeño tacón que las hacen súper cómodas. Puedes llevarlas largas o a la altura del talón.

Definitely these kind of boots are my top favorites. They are beautiful, sophisticated and with the kitten heel that makes them super comfy. You can wear tall or short ones.

Todos amamos un buen par de botas altas, simples y clásicas. Las altas tipo vaqueras modernas serán el complemento a tus looks de casa y te darán la comodidad que necesitas.

We all love a good pair of tall boots, simple and classic. The equestrian boot will be the perfect match to your stay-home look and will give you the comfort that you require.

‘Mix and match’

Otra tendencia de esta temporada son las botas con estampados coloridos y de diferentes patrones. ¡Súper vintage! Las encontrarás de piel, gamuza, y más materiales.

Another trend of the season are the colorful, printed boots that come in many shapes. Hi vintage! You will find them in different materials such as leather and suede.

‘Chunky Rubber’

No sé si recuerdas a principios de los años 2000 que este tipo de bota fueron tendencias. Hoy en día las vemos nuevamente en las pasarelas pero en vez de llevarlas con clásico pantalón militar, las vemos con sudaderas y vestidos mini.

I hope you remember that we used to see these a lot at the beginning of the 21st century. Today, they are back to all the runways but instead of wearing them with the classic militar pants, we will be wearing them with long hoodies and mini dresses.

Recuerden que una característica importante de las tendencias en botas y botines de este año, es que la prioridad es la comodidad y el pasar más tiempo dentro de casa que afuera.

Mi sencilla rutina para el cuidado de la piel

¡Feliz lunes, mis amores! Seguramente alguna vez en la vida han aplicado la teoría de que el orden de los factores, no afecta en resultado. Sin embargo, si algo he aprendido es que cuando hablamos de belleza, en especial sobre la piel, hay varios pasos que debes tomar en cuenta antes de empezar a maquillarte. La semana pasada me preguntaron mucho sobre este tema y por eso decidí hacerles este post en el que les revelo el paso a paso para que conozcan cómo aplico los productos básicos que uso para el cuidado de la piel. ¡Espero que les funcione tanto como a mí!

Cuando se trata de encontrar trajes de baño elegantes y favorecedores, soy fan de usar completos o bikinis con diseños discretos y líneas limpias. Van perfecto con un pareo cool, una bata delgadita, lentes de sol o un vestidito ligero.

Las piezas verano que puedes seguir usando en otoño

¡Hola, mis amores! No hay mejor momento para ir de shopping que los fines de semana. Además de amar este día porque puedo estar con mi familia, hacer mis cosas y descansar, tengo que confesar que sí me gusta ver cuáles son las últimas tendencias en tiendas de marca y las nuevas propuestas de fast fashion. Desde hace varias temporadas, este material viene en otros colores que no son el clásico negro. Cuando el calor se va y bajan las temperaturas, el denim nunca pasa de moda. La clave está en cómo las combinas.

Más que una tendencia, son una pieza básica que además es súper versátil desde los años 80. Cuando empecé a ser blogger me costaba un poco de trabajo usar camisas por su corte masculino y ahora no puedo vivir sin ellas.
