¡Hola, mis amores! Hoy les escribo sobre la pasarela de Gucci en Roma. Hace unas horas, Alessandro Michele rindió homenaje a la libertad y en especial a la grandeza de la mujer. Además, la firma de moda italiana buscó dar un mensaje en el Musee Capitolini en el que apoya la igualdad de género.

Hi my loves! Today I’m writing about Gucci’s Cruise 2020 Show in Rome. A few hours ago, Alessandro Michele paid tribute to freedom and the greatness in women. In addition, the Italian fashion brand sought to give a message at the Musee Capitolini in which he supports gender equality.

Uno de los highlights de la pasarela fue este bordado en la parte delantera de uno de los vestidos, además de la aparición del slogan feminista de la década de 1970, "Mi cuerpo, mi elección".

One of the highlights of this fashion show was the embroidery on the front of one of the dresses, in addition to the appearance of the feminist slogan of the 1970s, "My body, my choice."

Cada diseño estuvo inspirado en la locación de este año: los Museos Capitolinos de Roma. Esta sede sirve como continuación a otros lugares históricos en los que Gucci ha presentado sus colecciones Cruise, incluyendo los Claustros de la Abadía de Westminster y los salones de la Galería Palatina en el Palacio Pitti en Florencia.

Each design was inspired by this year's location: the Capitoline Museums of Rome. This venue serves as a continuation to other historical places where Gucci has presented its Cruise collections, including the Cloisters of Westminster Abbey and the halls of the Palatina Gallery in the Pitti Palace in Florence.

Aparte de las referencias políticas, la pasarela también estaba lleno de símbolos de la antigua Roma como togas y túnicas. Las siluetas romanas se encontraron con más toques modernos, incluyendo los motivos de Mickey Mouse, además de los estampados, diseños atrevidos y toques excéntricos por los que Michele se caracteriza. Además de estos elementos, las lentejuelas y algunas referencias de glam rock, que evocaban a Elton John, marcaron la pauta en una colección con toques vintage.

Algunos famosos como Salma Hayek y Harry Styles (usando uñas de color) estuvieron en la pasarela, que fue presentada casi completamente en la oscuridad.

Ixtapa at mid-week!

¡Hola, mis amores! Esta fue una semana muy especial para mí, primero porque pude compartir tiempo con mi familia entre semana y el fin aproveché para divertirme, hacer ejercicio y descansar. Hoy les escribo para platicarles sobre mi viaje a Ixtapa en familia y sobre todo para recordar lo importante e increíble que es crear nuevas memorias y momentos con las personas que más queremos.

Hi my loves! This was a very special week for me, first because I was able to share time with my family during the week and at the end I took the opportunity to have fun, exercise and rest. Today I’m writing to tell you about my trip to Ixtapa as a family and above all to remember how important and incredible it is to create new memories and moments with the people we love the most.

Decidimos ir a Ixtapa para seguir celebrando el cumpleaños de mi hermana y para cambiar un poco la rutina y aprovechar para estar juntos. El hotel en el que nos quedamos se llama Cala de Mar y es uno de mis favoritos. Ya he tenido la oportunidad de estar en este increíble hotel antes y me fascina porque tiene muchos espacios al aire libre y una vista única al Océano Pacífico.

We decided to go to Ixtapa to continue celebrating my sister's birthday and to change the routine a bit and take advantage of being together. The hotel in which we stayed is called Cala de Mar and is one of my favorites. I've had the opportunity to be in this amazing hotel before and it fascinates me because it has many outdoor spaces and a unique view of the Pacific Ocean.

Located in a spectacular between the mountains of the Sierra Madre and the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by a lush tropical forest, it is one of the most romantic and exclusive in Mexico.

Tiene 59 habitaciones con terrazas con vista al mar frente al mar. De lo que más me gusta es la comida y el restaurante que ofrece toda una experiencia gastronómica.

It has 59 rooms with terraces overlooking the sea facing the sea. What I like the most is the food and the restaurant that offers a whole gastronomic experience.

Una de las cosas que hice esta vez fue ir al spa ‘El Capricho’, diseñado para despertar todos los sentidos al conectar las tradiciones de curación azteca y rituales hechos con ingredientes locales. ¡Amé el té de cacao!

One of the things I did this time was going to the 'El Capricho' spa, designed to awaken all the senses by connecting Aztec healing traditions and rituals made with local ingredients. I loved cocoa tea!

¡Feliz viernes, mis amores! Como seguramente habrán visto en Instagram, hace unas horas se anunció que H&M este año colaborará con Giambattista Valli. Esto significa que ya tendremos al alcance piezas increíbles creadas por el diseñador italiano con algunas de sus características insignia como el tul.

Happy Friday, my loves! As you probably have seen on Instagram, a few hours ago the news emerged that H&M will collaborate with Giambattista Valli this year. This means that we can expect dreamy and princess-worthy pieces from this capsule.

A diferencia de las colabs con diseñadores anteriores que se lanzaron en el otoño, esta colaboración tendrá un "pre-drop" a finales de mayo con nueve looks que se podrán encontrar en algunas tiendas y online. Toda la colección se lanzará en noviembre. ¡Me muero por usar ese vestido rosa!

Unlike the colabs with previous designers that were launched every fall, this collaboration will have a "pre-drop" at the end of May with nine looks that can be found in some stores and online. The entire collection will be launched on November. I'm dying to wear that pink dress!

Mi primer viaje a Sevilla

¡Feliz sábado, mis amores! Hoy les escribo para contarles sobre mi experiencia en este increíble lugar. Un año después de la primera edición de #AlohasTravels, la marca Alohas Sandals me invitó a la Feria de Sevilla. Esta es una de las principales celebraciones de la ciudad y es específicamente en Real de la Feria.

Happy Saturday, my loves! Today I’m writing to tell you about my experience in this incredible place. One year after the first edition of #AlohasTravels, Alohas Sandals invited me to the Seville Fair. This is one of the main celebrations of the city and it is specifically in Real de la Feria.

Me fascinaron las calles de este lugar, cómo las adornaron para celebrar esta fecha, ver y subirme a un coche de caballo, además de hacer muchas cosas más que nunca olvidaré.

I was fascinated by the streets of this place, how they were decorated to celebrate this date, to get on a horse carriage, besides doing many other things that I will never forget.

Me quedé en Hacienda de Orán que antes era una antigua vivienda y hoy tiene 19 habitaciones totalmente diferentes entre ellas. Además de haber amado el hotel, me gustó mucho la comida y cada uno de sus rincones.

I stayed at Hacienda de Oran, which used to be an old house and today has 19 totally different rooms. Besides having loved the hotel, I really liked the food and each of its corners.

¿Cómo mantenerte healthy en el aeropuerto y en el avión?

¡Feliz lunes, mis amores! Ya regrese de España y como les conté en mis Instagram Stories, estoy sufriendo un poco por el cambio de horario, pero les puedo decir que valió la pena. Muchos de ustedes me han preguntado qué me gusta comer y tomar mientras estoy en el aeropuerto o en el avión. Les puedo decir que viajar es muy emocionante pero en el proceso de llegar al lugar, puede llegar a ser muy difícil mantenernos saludables. ¡Les comparto mis mejores consejos para lograrlo! Espero que les sirvan.

Happy Monday, my loves! I'm back in Mexico City and as I told you on my Instagram Stories, I'm suffering a bit from jetlag but I can tell you that it was totally worth it. Many of you have asked me what I like to eat and drink while I’m at the airport or while flying. I can tell you that traveling is very exciting but the process of getting to the place can become very difficult to stay healthy. Keep reading to see my best advice to achieve it!

Lleva tus propios snacks

Antes, mi prioridad era terminar de último momento mi maleta pero ahora sí le dedico unos minutos a preparar mis snacks o voy a comprarlos desde antes porque es complicado encontrar comida saludable en los aeropuertos, y más aún cuando estás en el avión. Me gusta llevar bolsitas con nueces, almendras, frutos secos, chocolate oscuro y hasta muesli.

Bring your own snacks

Before, my priority was to finish my suitcase at the last minute but now I do spend a few more minutes preparing my snacks or buying them before because it’s difficult to find healthy food at airports, and even more so when you are on the plane. I like to pack snack bags filled with nuts, fruit, popcorn and muesli bars. 

Elige la comida correcta

Si de plano no te dio tiempo de empacar tus snacks, te recomiendo elegir bien lo que comes y alejarte de alimentos procesados y azúcares. Yo siempre busco platillos con proteína y verduras pero la verdad es que hay veces que sí se me cruza alguna delicia dulce a la que de verdad no puedo resistirme.

Choose the right food

If you didn’t have time to pack your snacks, choose what you eat and stay away from processed foods and sugars. I always look for dishes with protein and vegetables but the truth is that sometimes I do come across some sweet treats that I can’t resist.

¡Toma agua!

Lleva una botella contigo en todo momento y trata de no tomar tomar mucho café o té o bebidas alcohólicas. En general, los vuelos y el aeropuerto pueden deshidratarte entonces trabaja en tomar mucha agua antes, durante y después de volar.

Drink water!

Carry a bottle with you at all times and try not to drink too much coffee or tea or alcoholic beverages. In general, flights can dehydrate you, then work on taking a lot of water before, during and after flying.

Sigue moviéndote

Ya saben que para mí, el ejercicio es sinónimo de tranquilidad y buena vibra. Si estás en el aeropuerto, puedes aprovechar para caminar de una sala a otra varias veces. Ya en el avión, trata de pararte cada 20 o 30 minutos y de hacer ejercicios con los pies como girarlos o levantar las piernas.

Keep moving

For me exercise is synonymous to tranquility and feeling good. If you are at the airport, you can take advantage of walking from one room to another several times. Once on the plane, try to stop every 20 or 30 minutes and exercise your feet as you turn them or lift your legs.

¡Hola, mis amores! Hoy celebramos el Día de las Madres en México y por eso decidí escribirles este post sobre la persona que más amo: ¡mi mamá! Dicen por ahí que todos nos convertimos en nuestras mamás y por más raro que esto pueda parecer, amo la idea de verme como ella cuando sea grande. Entonces, ¿qué he aprendido de mi ícono de moda favorito? Te cuento un poco más…

Hi my loves! Today we celebrate Mother's Day in Mexico and that's why I decided to write this post about the person I love the most: my mother! They say that we all become our moms and as weird as this may seem, I love the idea of seeing myself like her when I grow up. So, what have I learned from my favorite fashion icon? Let me tell you a little more. Keep reading...

1. Las mamás son el primer contacto que tenemos con temas de moda, belleza y estilo.

Desde chiquita hasta el día de hoy, siempre he visto a mi mamá súper arreglada. Soy fan del estilo de mi mamá y de todo lo que compra. Siempre estaré enamorada de sus looks y de cómo se ve.

1. Moms are the first contact we have with fashion, beauty and style.

From a very young age to this day, I have always seen my mom all dolled up. I'm a fan of my mom's style and everything she buys. I will always be in love with her looks and how she dresses.

2. Si sabes cómo arreglarte tú, tienes la vida casi resuelta.

Les puedo decir que mi mamá diario invierte el tiempo necesario en arreglarse y verse guapa, sin importar si es un día normal o uno especial. Creo que desde chiquita aprendí el valor de invertirle tiempo a temas de moda y belleza. ¡Vale la pena!

2. Learn to take advantage of your style without anyone else’s help and you’ll have your life solved out.

I can tell you that my mom daily invests the necessary time to get ready and look beautiful, whether it is a normal day or a special one. I think that since I was a little girl I learned the value of spending time on fashion and beauty issues. It’s worth it!

3. El mejor diseñador de modas puedes ser tú. ¡Exprésate!

No sé si ya les conté antes pero además de heredarme su amor al shopping jaja, desde siempre mi mamá trata de hacerse vestidos con una costurera en casa para tener cosas únicas. ¡Soy fan de ver el proceso! Igual y por eso estudié diseño textil jaja.

3. The best fashion designer can be you. Express yourself!

I don’t know if I’ve told you before but in addition to inheriting her love for shopping haha, since always my mom tries to get clothes made with a seamstress at home to have unique and custom made things. I'm a fan of watching the process! Maybe that's why I studied textile design haha.

4. Entre más arreglada, mejor.

Otra cosa que aprendí de ella y que trato de aplicar siempre es que es mejor ir más arreglada que no verte impecable.

4. The more elegant, the better.

Another thing I learned from her and that I always try to apply to my daily routine is that it is better to be overdressed than under.

5. Descubre qué es lo que te queda e invierte en ello.

Como nunca pude usar los zapatos de mi mamá porque no somos del mismo número, tuve que empezar a comprar mis propios zapatos. El mejor tip de mi mamá aquí es en tener accesorios clásicos y atemporales para poderlos combinar con lo que sea.

5. Discover what suits you and invest in it.

Since I could never use my mom's shoes because we are not of the same size, I had to start buying my own shoes. The best tip from my mom is to have classic and timeless accessories to be able to mix and match them with everything you want.

My weekend in Valle de Guadalupe!

¡Hola, mis amores! Hoy les cuento que el fin de semana pasado fui al Valle de Guadalupe a una boda y tuve la oportunidad de conocer más sobre este increíble lugar. Bueno, esta región es visitada porque gracias a su temperatura, altitud y minerales, se producen varios de los mejores vinos mexicanos.

Hi my loves! Today I want to tell you that last weekend I went to the Guadalupe Valley to attend a wedding and I had the opportunity to learn more about this incredible place. This region is visited because some of the best Mexican wines are made here.

Me encantó ver que desde que llegamos al lugar, está rodeado de viñedos y de lugares espectaculares. Uno de ellos es el hotel Maglén, que está justo en el corazón de la ruta del vino.

Since we arrived at this place we saw the vineyards and many unique and spectacular places. One of these spots was hthe Hotel Maglén, which is right in the heart of the wine route.

Este hotel que ya es uno de mis favoritos, se me hizo muy vanguardista y cómodo. Me fascinaron los ventanales que permiten disfrutar de la tranquilidad y de la vista de Baja California.

This hotel, which is already one of my favorites, was very avant-garde and comfortable. What I liked most were the windows that let you enjoy the tranquility and the view of Baja California.

Otra cosa que amé fue la comida. En este lugar están dos restaurantes famosos: Ha’che y Cantera. El primero usa productos locales y está encabezado por el chef Saúl Flores. El segundo es famoso por sus cocciones prolongadas de hasta 18 hrs a la leña, utilizando una tendencia basada en un estilo francés con especias e ingredientes asiáticos mezclado con la cocina bajamed y el chef a cargo de la cocina es Joel Quintana Torres.

Another thing I loved was the food. In this place there are two famous restaurants: Ha'che and Cantera. The first uses local products and is headed by chef Saúl Flores. The second is famous for its long cooking process that goes up to 18 hours using firewood, based on a French style with spices and Asian ingredients mixed with bajamed kitchen and the chef in charge of this kitchen is Joel Quintana Torres.

Bueno mis amores, les recomiendo muchísimo venir al Valle de Guadalupe. ¡Van a amar todo!

MET GALA 2019: FAVORITE TRENDS!

¡Feliz martes, mis amores! Anoche fue la MET Gala, una de las fiestas más importantes de la moda. Este año, la exposición se titula ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ , basada en un ensayo de Susan Sontag, quien buscaba reflejar el espíritu de la extravagancia, el exceso, lo artificial y la ironía. Desde el look cuatro en uno de Lady Gaga, hasta los accesorios en el pelo o las pestañas XXL, esta es una de las red carpets más divertidas del año. ¡Les comparto mis tendencias favoritas!

XXL LASHES

Amé las pestañas extra largas y en tonos dorados de Lady Gaga y otras propuestas más minimalistas como las pestañas de Sara Sampaio. El maquillaje eclipsó muchos de los looks fue el de Gigi Hadid, quien usó pestañas en color blanco para completar su outfit.

I loved Lady Gaga's extra long and golden eyelashes and really liked Sara Sampaio's eyelashes. Gigi Hadid also wore white eyelashes to match her outfit.

SEQUINS

Otra de las tendencias más usadas en la MET Gala fueron las lentejuelas. Uno de mis vestidos favoritos fue el de Saoirse Ronan, firmado por Gucci. Otras famosas que usaron vestidos con aplicaciones fueron Emma Stone y Sophie Turner. La protagonista de ‘Game Of Thrones’ eligió un diseño de Louis Vuitton.

Another of the favorite trends of the MET Gala were the dresses with sequins. One of my favorites was the one that Saoirse Ronan wore (custom made by Gucci). Emma Stone and Sophie Turner were other celebrities who wore dresses with applications. The actress chose a Louis Vuitton design.

Me fascinaron las uñas de Elle Fanning, hechas por la famosa manicurista Mar Y Sol, quien usó esmaltes de Essi e íconos como un teléfono retro, pastas de dientes, papas fritas y hasta una pila. Otros looks irónicos y divertidos que llamaron la atención fueron el de Jared Leto y el de Lupita Nyong’o, inspirado en la Drag Queen Divine.

I liked Elle Fanning's nails, made by the famous manicurist Mar Y Sol, who used Essi's nail polishes and icons such as a retro telephone, toothpaste, french fries and a Bubble Yum package. Other ironic and funny looks that drew attention were Jared Leto’s and Lupita Nyong'o, inspired by the Drag Queen Divine.

Para ir a juego con un vestido firmado por Tom Ford, Gemma Chan usó un tocado con flores y aplicaciones. Katy Perry siempre es la más atrevida y esta vez llevó en la cabeza un candelabro (literal) y Emily Ratajkowski llevó alas en color blanco.

To mix and match with a dress signed by Tom Ford, Gemma Chan wore a headdress with flowers and applications. Katy Perry is always the most daring and this time she carried a chandelier (LOL) on her head and Emily Ratajkowski wore white wings.

Mi favorita de la noche fue Hailey Bieber con un vestido rosa y un moño negro en la cabeza. También me gustaron los accesorios que usaron Emma Stone, Gal Gadot, Dakota Fanning y Lucy Boynton.

Hailey Bieber was my favorite with a pink dress and a black bow on her head. I also liked the accessories that Emma Stone, Gal Gadot, Dakota Fanning and Lucy Boynton chose.

Lo mejor de la pasarela Dior Cruise 2020

¡Feliz viernes, mis amores! De las pasarelas Cruise que hemos visto hasta el momento en Instagram, sin duda una de mis favoritas es la de Dior. Como ya es tradición, la marca francesa siempre impacta con cada uno de sus desfiles y ahora, Marrakech se convirtió en el destino perfecto para presentar esta colección. La que es una de las ciudades más importantes de Marruecos con sus edificios históricos y moda local, también sirvió de inspiración para crear cada una de las piezas de esta nueva propuesta.

Happy Friday, my loves! Of all the Cruise collections we've seen so far on Instagram, one of my favorite is Dior Cruise 2020. Dior always creates amazing runways in the most amazing places in the world and now, the luxury house staged its Cruise 2020 show in Marrakesh against the stunning backdrop of the city's El Badi Palace.

Me encantó que escogieran el palacio El Badi y en general que Maria Grazia Chiuri –Directora Creativa de Dior– llevara toda la vibra e historia de Dior a esta ciudad que a través de los años, ha atraído a una serie de influyentes viajeros, artistas y creativos, desde el ex director creativo de Dior Yves Saint Laurent al novelista y filósofo Albert Camus, los fotógrafos Cecil Beaton y Irving Penn, y más.

Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director of Dior– transported the history of Dior to this city that over the years, has attracted a number of influential travelers, artists and creatives, from the former creative director of Dior Yves Saint Laurent, novelist and philosopher Albert Camus, photographers Cecil Beaton and Irving Penn, and more.

Para celebrar las culturas mediterránea, europea y africana, la marca trabajó con artesanos locales. Uno de ellos fue Uniwax, una empresa en Costa de Marfil que trabajó con el estudio de diseño para reinterpretar dos de los motivos característicos de la casa: el toile de Jouy y las cartas del tarot. Otros diseñadores y artistas que se unieron a la maison fueron Grace Wales Bonner y Mickalene Thomas, quienes nuevas interpretaciones de prendas icónicas.

To celebrate the Mediterranean, European and African cultures, the brand worked with local artisans. One of them was Uniwax, a company in Côte d'Ivoire that worked with the design studio to reinterpret two of the characteristic motifs of the house: the toile de Jouy and tarot cards. Other designers and artists who joined the maison were Grace Wales Bonner and Mickalene Thomas, who reinterpreted iconic garments.

En la pasarela, los vestidos con motivos intrincados y patrones de inspiración africana en diferentes longitudes y cortes, fueron mis prendas favoritas. Amé los accesorios en el pelo, las capas y chamarras estampadas.

On the runway, dresses with intricate beading and African-inspired patterns in different lengths and cuts, were my favorite items. I loved the hair accessories , the layers and the printed jackets.

En front row estuvieron famosas como Lupita N'yong, Shailene Woodley y Jessica Alba.

Para cerrar el show, Diana Ross sorprendió a la multitud interpretando éxitos como ‘Ain't No Mountain High Enough’.

Wellness Retreat in The Cape Cabo San Lucas!

¡Feliz miércoles, mis amores! En este día de descanso quise escribirles este post para contarles más sobre esta experiencia increíble en Los Cabos. He venido varias veces al hotel The Cape (los dos Años Nuevos pasados los pasé aquí) y les puedo decir que me encanta este lugar.

Happy Wednesday, my loves! I wanted to write this post to tell you more about my incredible experience in Los Cabos. I’ve been here before to The Cape (I spent here the last two New Year’s Eve) and I really love this place!

La semana pasada estuvimos mi mamá y yo aquí de jueves a domingo para ir al primer Wellness Retreat organizado por The Cape. Se me hace increíble que existan este tipo de “retiros” a la orilla del mar, en un spot tan padre como este, con actividades que van desde ceremonias para el bienestar mental y espiritual, entrenamientos físicos y tratamientos en el spa, hasta cocina orgánica.

Last week my mom and I were here from Thursday to Sunday to go to the first Wellness Retreat by The Cape Cabo San Lucas with activities like ceremonies for mental and spiritual well-being, physical training and treatments at the spa and also organic cooking.

Todas ellas hechas por expertos como Modu –que es entrenador físico de algunas celebridades–, la terapeuta en respiración consciente, Ofelia Bojoquez, la experta en fitness Jessica Espinosa y el instructor de respiración, Diego Cervantes.

All of them are made by experts like Ofelia Bojoquez, Diego Cervantes and fitness masters like Modu and Jessica Espinosa.

SOBRE EL WELLNESS RETREAT

El jueves que llegamos, nos recibieron con un círculo de bienvenida con Diego y Ofelia. Después cenamos deli y nos dormimos temprano.

On Thursday they welcomed us with a welcome circle with Diego and Ofelia. Then we had dinner and went to bed early.

El viernes nuestro día empezó con un boot camp con Modu en la playa. ¡No saben lo intenso que estuvo! Después de eso desayunamos en The Ledge, fuimos al Juice Bar en Currents y después al spa. Saliendo de ahí fuimos al Wellness Market y en la tarde a una ceremonia de respiración con cacao con Diego Cervantes. La cena ese día me gustó mucho porque estuvo hecha con productos orgánicos de origen local.

On Friday our day started with a boot camp with Modu on the beach. It was really intense! After that we had breakfast at The Ledge, went to the Juice Bar in Currents and then to the spa. Then we went to the Wellness Market and in the afternoon to a cocoa breathing ceremony with Diego Cervantes. The dinner that day I liked a lot because it was made with organic products of local origin.

El sábado hicimos Body Sculpt con Modu, desayunamos y después fuimos a una clase de cycle rooftop con Saira Perales, que es una de las entrenadoras del equipo de Modu. En la noche fue la ceremonia de clausura con Diego y Ofelia. Después cenamos en la playa, ¡amé!

On Saturday we did Body Sculpt with Modu, we had breakfast and then we went to a cycle rooftop class with Saira Perales, who is one of Modu’s team coaches. At night it was the closing ceremony with Diego and Ofelia. After dinner on the beach, I loved it!

El domingo me desperté temprano para ir a una clase de yoga y el final perfecto fue un facial de estimulación y balance en los pies. ¡Delicia!

On Sunday I woke up early to go to a yoga class and the perfect ending was a facial stimulation and balance on the feet.

De vuelta en la realidad, les deseo la mejor semana y los invito a que ustedes también se regalen momentos así para recargar el cuerpo, la mente y el corazón. ¡Los amo!
