¡Feliz jueves, mis amores! Ya casi empieza es fin de semana y oficialmente llegan las noches de fiesta, cenas o reuniones. Ya saben que amo los vestidos y que les podría dar mil razones por los que son perfectos para usarse todo el día. Tengo que confesarles que a veces me cuesta trabajo encontrar vestidos que sean ideales para cualquier hora, por lo que he aprendido a literalmente transformarlos para lograr outfits versátiles y divertidos. ¡Les comparto mis mejores tips!

Happy Thursday, my loves! The weekend is almost here and with it all the parties and dinners that we were waiting for all week. I really love dresses and I could give you a thousand reasons why they are the perfect garment to wear all day long. I have to confess that sometimes I find it hard to find dresses that are ideal for a night out, so I’ve learned to literally transform them to achieve versatile and fun outfits. LBD

Toda amante de la moda tiene un little black dress en su clóset. Para que puedan usarlo de día o de noche, asegúrense de que la tela sea un poco gruesa, con estampado o satinada. Lo que a mí me gusta hacer es agregarle unas botas para maximizar el look.

Every fashion lover has a little black dress in her closet. Make sure the fabric is a bit thick, printed or satin so you can wear it both in the day and night. Pair it with knee-high boots and you'll be seriously stealing the show.

Este tipo de vestidos son perfectos para salir en la noche. Un par de aretes simples y una bolsa en color negro, son los complementos ideales.

¡Feliz lunes, mis amores! Llevo días escribiendo este post y por fin pude terminarlo. La semana pasada descubrimos cuáles serán las nuevas tendencias de moda que dominarán durante Spring/Summer 2020 –desde colores, hasta telas y accesorios– y hoy, les hice este recap para que puedan elegir sus favoritas y usarlas en el día a día. El raso llevado al minimalismo, fue una de las tendencias principales. Líneas sencillas, pocos accesorios y en telas gruesas, fueron las características de diseños vistos en las pasarelas de firmas como Valentino y Armani Privé.

Satin led to minimalism, was one of the main trends during Paris Haute Couture Week. Simple lines, few accessories and thick fabrics, were the characteristics of some designs which attracted attention by brands such as Valentino and Armani Privé.

Travel Diaries: Baha Mar! 🌴

¡Hola, mis amores! Espero que estén teniendo una semana increíble. Estoy de regreso en mi blog para contarles sobre el Wellness Retreat en Baha Mar. Este es un nuevo y lujoso destino en el Caribe que está exactamente en las arenas blancas de Cable Beach, en Nassau.

Hi my loves! I hope you are having an amazing week. I’m back in my blog to tell you about the Wellness Retreat in Baha Mar. This is a new and luxurious destination at the Caribbean that is located on the white sands of Cable Beach in Nassau.

De lo que más me gustó es que dentro del complejo están tres hoteles increíbles –más abajo les cuento sobre ellos–, además de un campo de golf diseñado por Jack Nicklaus, un club de raquetbol, un increíble casino, un spa de ensueño que se llama ESPA, un santuario natural y muchísimas opciones gastronómicas, amenidades y experiencias. Recomiendo mucho este lugar para ir con amigos o familia.

What I liked the most is that within the complex there are three incredible hotels, a gold field designed by Jack Nicklaus, a racquetball club, an incredible casino, a dream spa that is called ESPA, a natural sanctuary and many dining options, amenities and experiences. I highly recommend this place to go with friends or family.

ACCOMODATIONS

Para llegar al hotel en el que nos hospedamos –que fue el Grand Hyatt Baha Mar–, viajamos desde la Ciudad de México a Nassau. Me encantó este hotel porque literalmente puedes hacer de todo aquí. Se me hizo el lugar perfecto para relajarte y descansar viendo el mar y las islas. Sus habitaciones son estilo residencias y tienen de 2 a 3 recámaras.

To get to the hotel we stayed at (Grand Hyatt Baha Mar) we travel from Mexico City to Nassau. I loved this hotel because you can literally do everything here. It is the perfect place to relax and rest watching the sea and the islands. Its rooms are residences style and have 2 to 3 bedrooms.

Otra cosa que amé fue el spa ESPA con saunas y baños de vapor, zonas de relajación y cabinas con tratamientos corporales, faciales y masajes.

Another thing that I loved was the ESPA spa with saunas and steam rooms, relaxation areas and cabins with body treatments, facials and massages.

SLS BAHA MAR

Dentro de Baha Mar están dos hoteles más. Este destaca por su estilo moderno y vistas a Cable Beach. Comimos en varios restaurantes de aquí y la verdad son una delicia.

Within Baha Mar are two more hotels. This one stands out for its modern style and views of Cable Beach. We ate at several restaurants here.

ROSEWOOD BAHA MAR

Les puedo decir que este lugar fue de mis favoritos. Su diseño interior es impecable y está inspirado en la rica cultura de Las Bahamas. Amé el servicio de nivel internacional y las amenidades de lujo. 

I can tell you that this place was my favorite. Its interior design is impeccable and inspired by the culture of The Bahamas. I loved the international level service and luxury amenities.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

LONG CAY TOUR

Esta es una isla privada a unos minutos de Nassau. Aquí desayunamos, hicimos un ejercicio de reconexión, tuvimos clases de fitness personalizadas, nos dieron un masaje y cerramos el día con una ceremonia de luna llena.

This is a private island near Nassau. Here we had breakfast, we did a reconnection exercise, we had personalized fitness classes, they gave us a massage and we closed the day with a full moon ceremony.


YOGA

No saben lo increíble que fue hacer yoga acompañada de flamingos. Nunca lo olvidaré.

It was amazing to do yoga accompanied by flamingos. I will never forget it!

SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES

La chamana Fernanda nos dio una actividad que se llama ‘Celebrate You’. Además, en el spa ESPA nos relajamos al máximo y conectamos el cuerpo con el espíritu.

KATSUYA 

El chef y maestro de sushi Katsuya Uechi ofrece versiones originales y recién hechas de los clásicos de la cocina japonesa, incluido bacalao negro marinado en miso y sashimi de seriola con jalapeño. ¡Una delicia!

Sushi chef and master Katsuya Uechi offers original and freshly made versions of the classics of Japanese cuisine, including black cod marinated in miso and sashimi of Serlala with jalapeno. Yum!

CLEO

El menú está a cargo del chef Danny Elmaleh, quien utiliza ingredientes locales para crear comida mediterránea.

CARNA

El restaurante destaca la historia de sus ingredientes clave: mariscos, verduras de cosecha y, por supuesto, algunos de los mejores cortes de carne. 

Carna is a sophisticated steakhouse borne from the skill and passion of eighth-generation master butcher, Dario Cecchini. The restaurant highlights the story of its key ingredients: seafood, harvest vegetables, and of course, some of the finest cuts of meat in the world. 

THE PALMS

Este restaurante junto a la alberca tiene platillos con mariscos ligeros, hamburguesas cocidas perfectamente a la parrilla, sándwiches y ensaladas frescas, junto con cócteles isleños especializados.

This poolside restaurant has light seafood dishes, perfectly grilled burgers, sandwiches and fresh salads, along with specialty island cocktails.

MALAM

Aquí sirven hindú hecha con técnicas como el Tandoori en horno de barro, siguiendo las tradiciones culinarias de India.

Indian food made with techniques such as Tandoori in a clay oven, following the culinary traditions of India is served here.

El tono de Pantone que usarás todo el 2020

¡Hola, mis amores! Hace poco, Pantone escogió el Classic Blue como el color del año y a solo unos días de haber iniciado el 2020, ya lo estamos viendo en todas partes. En lo personal, quiero decirles que amo este color y estoy de acuerdo en las razones por las que lo eligieron: da paz, serenidad, tranquilidad, concentración y ayuda a cambiar la tensión o el estrés. ¿Lo mejor de todo? Se ve increíble puesto ya sea en trajes completos, vestidos, monos, tops o hasta en bikini. 

Hi my loves! Pantone chose the Classic Blue as the color of the year and just a few days after 2020, we are already seeing it everywhere. Personally, I want to tell you that I love this color and I agree on the reasons why they chose it: it gives peace, serenity, tranquility, concentration and helps to change tension or stress. The best of all? It looks amazing wearing either full suits, dresses, overalls, tops or even in a bikini. Las amo porque además de ser la forma más creativa de las firmas para mostrarnos qué usaremos la siguiente temporada, la mayoría de ellas están protagonizadas por las celebridades o modelos del momento. LOUIS VUITTON

La firma francesa se unió nuevamente a Collier Schorr para crear esta increíble campaña. El fotógrafo capturó a las actrices Emma Stone y Zhong Chuxi junto a un grupo de modelos seleccionados especialmente para llevar bolsas como la nueva Vanity in Monogram y las últimas versiones del Dauphine junto a varios looks inspirados en la Belle Époque. Todas las piezas fueron diseñadas por Nicolas Ghesquière. ¿La locación? Park Lane Hotel en Londres.

Louis Vuitton has teamed again with Collier Schorr for its spring campaign. La marca literalmente reclutó a un elenco de modelos para su campaña primavera-verano 2020. Steven Meisel capturó a Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk y Joan Smalls para lograr estos retratos estilo estudio. La nueva temporada destaca por los estampados de lunares, bolsos de gran tamaño y prendas en colores pastel.

Maria Grazia Chiuri turned to photographer Brigitte Niedermair to create her third advertising campaign, in which she shows a collection inspired by Catherine Dior, the sister of Christian Dior. Selena Forrest and Ruth Bell models posed with a gray wall, wearing the classic maison pieces, denim looks and tie-dye prints. I loved the straw hats and the new versions of the Lady Dior and Saddle bags.

GUCCI

Alessandro Michele seleccionó a un caballo para ser el coprotagonista de esta campaña fotografiada y dirigida por Yorgos Lanthimos. Según Gucci este es "un ejercicio de ambigüedad afectuosa, un acto de surrealismo cotidiano, una celebración de lo paradójico". ¡Me encanta!

Alessandro Michele selected a horse to be the co-star of this campaign photographed and directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. According to Gucci this is "an exercise of affectionate ambiguity, an act of daily surrealism, a celebration of the paradoxical." I love it!

Hago ejercicio cuando menos cinco veces a la semana: La mayoría de las veces voy a Clymb. También trato de ir a Taller en Commando (para hacer pesas) y si estoy fuera, busco espacio para ir al gym, agendar alguna clase o de plano correr. Les recomiendo ir con amigos, ¡siempre es más divertido!

Intento darme un masaje de drenaje linfático a la semana: En esta técnica de masaje se hacen movimientos manuales que el sistema linfático no puede hacer por sí mismo para canalizar el exceso de líquido, así como de volver a incluirlo en el torrente sanguíneo y evacuarlo. El drenaje linfático se puede hacer en cuello, cara, abdomen, brazos, nuca, zona dorsal, zona lumbar, glúteos y piernas. El lugar al que voy siempre se llama Beauty Palace.

Trato de moderar los carbs: Un buen tip de mi nutrióloga es que si como carbohidratos en la cena, los evite al día siguiente en la mañana o viceversa.

Pero no dejo de comerlos: El secreto no está en dejar la pasta o el arroz integral sino en alejarte de las papitas, los cereales azucarados y los alimentos refinados. Cada una de mis comidas tiene un carbohidrato pero en la noche trato de cambiar el pan por fruta o legumbres.

Como varias veces al día: Sí, aunque suene contradictorio, este es mi mantra para mantenerme fit. Lo que tu metabolismo necesita para mantenerse activo es que no te pongas en "estricto". Entre más alimento le quites, más retendrá lo que le das. Hacer cinco comidas al día es básico, empezando con un buen desayuno, dos snacks, una comida completa y una cena ligera. Mis amigas expertas en nutrición siempre me dicen que es fundamental no saltarnos comidas porque lo único que conseguimos con esto es tener mucha hambre y rebotar. 

I try to eat more: This is my mantra. What your metabolism needs is to stay active so that you don't put yourself in "restrictive mode". The less food you eat, the more you'll retain what you give to your body. Making five meals a day is basic, starting with a good breakfast, two snacks, a full meal and a light dinner. 

Tomo agua tibia con limón: Aunque parezca consejo de abuelita, todos los días después de comer pido una taza de agua tibia y le exprimo medio limón. Sí, esté en donde esté lo hago. ¿Para qué sirve? El limón funciona como antiséptico y agente activo. Además, tiene flavonoides que actuán como antioxidantes y ayudan a la digestión.

Bye, refresco. Hola agua mineral: Hubo una temporada en la que sí hice dieta y no bajaba porque aunque controlaba lo que comía, seguía tomando cosas dulces como frappés o refrescos de dieta. Además de ser un freno, descubrí que me quitaban energía. Por eso hoy lo único que tomo es agua mineral o agua de sabores sin azúcar. 

Change soda for sparkling water: There was a season in which I did diet and didn't lose weight because although I controlled what I ate, I kept eating sweet things like frappés or diet sodas. Besides being a brake, I discovered that they took away my energy. That's why today the only thing I drink is mineral water and natural water.

Si voy a tomar, trato de evitar los drinks con azúcar: Mis favoritos son el vino tinto, vino blanco, tequila o mezcal.

If I'm going to drink alcohol, I try to avoid drinks with sugar: My favorites are red wine, white wine, tequila or mezcal.

Sí a los antojos pero no diario: Porque nada en extremo es bueno, trato de consentirme con algo rico mínimo los fines de semana.

Yes to cravings but not daily: Because nothing in the extreme is good, I try to pamper myself with something I really enjoy at least on the weekends.

Fasting intermitente: El ayuno intermitente implica comer alimentos durante determinadas horas del día y ayunar o abstenerse de comer por las horas restantes. Esta no es una dieta y literalmente no es para todos porque implica dejar de comer por periodos específicos.

Intermittent fasting: It involves eating food during certain times of the day and fasting or refraining from eating for the remaining hours. This is not a diet and is literally not for everyone because you stop eating for specific periods.

Recuerden que cada cuerpo es diferente. No soy una experta, por eso voy con una nutrióloga que me ayuda a saber qué le hace bien a mi cuerpo. ¡Feliz año!
